Well this is slightly surprising.
Kyou Kara Maou! is a shonen ai anime about a boy who gets sucked into another world when his head gets flushed in a toilet by bullies. Turns out in the fantasy world he the Moau(king of mazouko) accidently betrothes himself to another boy and basically wackiness ensues. It's cute it's silly and the fans are pretty laid back(when word came the show had been licensed there was some concern but the overall opinion was this was a Good thing) So I was surprised when today on the Kyou_Kara_Maou lj community Cre__amy posted a little snippit of a fic implying(but no actual) rape, and asking if it is worth continuing. Personally I think there's not enough written to judge if it worth developing or not.

People begin bitching about the implied rape.

Elsewherecw finds Michechu dislike of non-con odd considering an icon Michechu made earlier and posted.

Baby wank and looks like it's over, but I found it rather interesting considering the previous history of the comm.

ETA: [info]katsue Reported that the wank has disappeared apparently because of the original poster trying to fix her lj-cut, not due to anyone trying to hide the wank. A mod has stepped in to try to sort out the issue and figure out what happened, but that post is locked so I won't be sharing it here.

Ah, I knew the day would come when my favorite community would be hit by the wank!bug.

I think what bothered me about this post wasn't really the wank, I kind of ignored it until now. The girl couldn't bother to check if she lj-cutted right. (Is... that even a word?) Michechu really knows how to lay it on though. I like her, but sometimes the arguing can be a bit much.

(By the way, who are you on there? I'm a pretty active member there, just want to say hi.)

When I first saw the arguments going on I thought it was going to turn into something quite nasty, but I'm impressed with the fact that Michechu and Elsewherecw managed to eventually resolve their disagreement civilly.

Ummm, that's a terribly un-fandom_wank-ish sentiment, isn't it?

I have nothing useful or amusing to say, really. *pets shiny new fandom* I couldn't tell from that snippet if it was worth continuing or not, so I skipped over the whole thing. I'm not surprised it ended that way, though.

Dammit, I have wait for the release since my brother is the only who can use IRC and the like and has the, er computer thinges, that make the show play on the computer.

Basically he's the only who can download anime and he's not a shonen-ai fan so no KKM for me till it's released.

Yeah, but with these things it's very easy to keep up with anime you were watching pre-licencing, but it's very difficult to get episodes from the beginning. I haven't had much luck with Maruma.

W00t, is my baby KKM fandom growing up? Aww, it's so cute when it's exploring...

To me that seemed like a lot of hoopla about very little. That sniplet could go anywhere; who's saying it does end up as rape? Sure it was a non-con scene, but the writer may just as well stop it before anything happens. It's a very common plot device; either the possessed/otherwise out-of-their-head person regains their senses, or someone else acts as the knight in shiny armor and saves the day.

Someone pointed out in an eerily true post that the series likes to permanently kill those that we love. Like, well, Nina and *ep 26 spoiler* and *ep 41 or 42 spoilers* and *mid-30s, I think spoiler*, but say, Envy is still alive. And ep 50 totally brings more Envy-hate.

Ah, yes, that makes a great deal of sense. I'm hoping that the results of ep 51 will be something to submit to f_w, just looking at the mourning going on now. (Ignoring the fact that we know that the whole *spoiler* from this episode isn't permanent, given the movie.)

I don't mean to stir drama moreso, but if you think the KKM community is laid back... why did you post this and make the community look bad? Especially since the admin of that community has said numerous times that she wished that people wouldn't put her community on here.

And here it is. For something pathetic. This isn't even wank, it's a stupid disagreement.
