Australian Idol Wankfest
Last night (tonight?) on the Australian Idol Live Eviction, our latest evictee begged the nation to "stop being mean" on the forums, because the contestents read them.

So naturally, I had to go there and laugh. And mock. And point.

And I wasn't disappointed. Apparently, the official forums form a congaline of wank.

Let's start at the general discussion. Conspiracy theories ahoy! Check out the contestant's family spreading teh hate, OMG, the judges like the people they can market better than the people they can't!!11!, and is Anothony gay?????

Conspiracy theories continue in Anthony's forum (OMG, he's got Italian heritage so it's THE MAFIA!!!11!), Courtney and Casey have people saying "If you want to know why [they are] so fat"...

...and this is without going into the New Weekly article that talked about how the judges will cause one of the contestants to kill themselves eventually (seriously).

Ahh, Idol. Who said American Idol is the only franchise with wank?

Poor, poor, poor Anthony.

I remember back in the early days Chanel (and I do love her a great deal) was saying how she hates it that people talk about her online and my reaction was "honey, you're on a national contest, you're famous now, deal."

Ah, the hard lessons of fame.

	No, no, it was Emilia... she begged people to not be so mean in the forums, but it's Anthony's family spreading teh hate. And yes, I had the same reaction with what Chanel said... you should check out her forum and Marcia's, because there are flame wars aplenty over Sunday's comments. (Reply to this)(Parent)

	The contestants' families spreading the hate was the best part. It used to be stage mothers would just annoy everyone backstage. Now they show up on Internet forums and cuss at everyone using all caps and h@x0r speak. (Reply to this)

	Oh man, such a pity I lost interest in Aus.Idol recently... it's like, the fandom got so wanky all of a sudden. Last year, it seemed to be just Millsy's fangirls trying to defind his, er, "honour". sniff Wank on, Australia. I didn't think you could top the "OMG Emelia had seengin lesunz in yr 8 the bitch liez!!1" thing, but way to prove me wrong. (Reply to this)

Is it too mean to point out that if ones loved one is likely to attempt suicide after hearing negative comments from a TV judge, he or she probably wouldn't last too long in showbiz anyway?
