I guess I don't understand where she's seeing a bias against het sex. The reasoning behind the community rules to me seems fairly straightforward: frottage is more normally seen as the domain of gay sex than straight sex because of all the anatomical parts involved--it seems to me like a 'you guys have your whole playground, go away and let us have the monkey bars' kind of deal. Maybe that's wanky, but, I mean, it does make sense to me.

There is NOTHING inherently HOTTER when two guys frot than when a girl and guy do it.

I think Julie read the community far differently than I did. I thought it was about exploring a specific kink of gay sex. It didn't bother me that it was slash-only, because there are plenty of other communities out there that specialize only in a specific aspect of sexuality in attractiveness and practice. Pornish_pixies and lekink and hp_pervs are all about the kink, hunkwarts and andropotterists are all about gender subversion, bottom_draco is just that, and hp_rimming is self-explanatory. And all of these communities and many more are slash-only. There's been no outcry, and I don't think there's ever been really a problem with those communities existing and serving the particular purpose that they do, even though het sex can be kinky and gender-subversive, can feature rimming and men bottoming and so forth. Why this one community--why now?

Why not just start her own pro-het frottage community? It wouldn't be that hard.

I guess my own point is that I don't see the division itself as inherently bad, and it seems like she does. It's all apples and oranges, I think.

Heh, I noticed that but completely missed the misspellings of masturbation, even though I know how to spell the word. A case of seeing a mistake often enough and it just blending into the background.

I just considered the community info as not being well structured and moved on to look over other communities.

Plus, I have a bit of a wanky background with both mods. I disagreed with Chibi's HP con 'skills' and Lupusdragon emailed me to request I not publicly criticize her fics anymore after I posted a response (archived copy snagged from my LJ and why I could even find it):
I'm intrigued by the storyline. However, typos aside, the writing style leaves me ambivalent so far.
