This is so stupid on all sides. Yes, that post by Zsenya was incredibly childish, but all the whining about not getting accepted has been incredibly childish, too. This is a freaking hobby to them. Of course they aren't going to spend endless hours trying for some unattainable standard of "fairness". Why were so many egos wrapped up in whether they were accepted at SQ or not? Honestly, while I think it was stupid of Zsenya so expend so much emotion on this (she should have just ignored all the complaining, because it's simply impossible to make everyone happy), I completely understand her frustration with this. It's a hobby. It's arbitrary. They want to read the stories that sound interesting to them. Get over it, and get over yourselves. It's only fan fiction. You are not real published authors. I think the biggest problem here is that this was all done *in public*. If Risti had simply sent Zsenya an email at the very beginning, would this have happened? No. Instead, Risti and NM decided to make assumptions, jump to conclusions, and make accusations IN PUBLIC. And when Zsenya tried to sort it out IN PRIVATE (by e-mail and PM, apparently), they were made PUBLIC. When NM complained about being taken off the Bookshelf, it was IN PUBLIC. So to have Zsenya say that NM is annoying her for accusing her and her site IN PUBLIC, in a public post in response to a similar public post? Completely justified. The mature thing to have done here would have been to conduct this entire business by e-mail. Instead, NM and Risti decided to take it public.
