I get annoyed by people who think disliking and making fun of a fic is "mean" and that you're stifling creativity just by saying the fic blows. Yes, some Suebashers DO go over the line with their cynicism ("Let's cut her face and hands so she can never write and read things again!"), but if these Stick-up-for-the-Sues people are so into letting everyone do whatever they want, by that logic they should let the Suebashers have their freedom too. :P In all situations, here's what I believe: "You can hate something, you can complain about it, you can make fun of it. But don't try to stop it unless it's a threat to the universe". And I hardly think some teenager writing a Mary Sue fantasy is a threat to the universe. :P
