Previous Entry  Add to memories!  Tell a Friend!  Next Entry
Current mood:E-V-O-L

Let's start out with "This Movie BLOWS" and see where we get...
--Someone went to see "Finding Neverland" with Johnny Depp, et all
--That same someone didn't like it.
--They then started an IMDb thread entitled "Stop getting your hopes up -- the movie blows"
And then the fun starts...

Highlights include...

You suck! And I'll comment on our president while I'm at it!
I liked Johnny before he sold out-wank
He never sold out!
He didn't fricking sell out, dammit! POTC was for his kids!
He didn't *beep* sell out...watch me be angry and rail against people who censor their kids from anything.
He didn't sell out...and I'm right because my handle includes the word -theatre-
Calm down...Depp is not GHANDI!
I'm 14 and don't NEED no stinking grammar!
Grammar, paragraphs, and did I watch the actual MOVIE before commenting?
Is Star Wars Evil? Do we want to ask?

LOL all those years on the internet and only now I realize that in order to make the most out of looking ridiculous, I need to begin my sentences with 'LOL'.

Actually, you can say anything with a "LOL" in the sentence, and it immediately makes it all okay, because, hey, it's a "LOL"!

No, no, Depp is Jesus. At least according to the little girl who saw this in my store and asked her father, "is that Johnny Depp?"

I loved "Dead Man" as well. I watch it every time it comes on IFC. Maybe I'm just a pretentious English geek, but I thought it was a brilliant and beautiful film.

It's weird- Dead Man is like, one of my dad's favorite movies.

Picture like, the angriest conservative ever, who hates Hollywood 'cos of all those darned Liberals AND hates France- that's my daddy.

It's odd, because he really likes Johnny Depp. o_O

"I don't like it,so you certainly won't like it either, pah!" is what I'm getting after reading the original poster's entry.

I wonder,if everybody avoided things because a so and so didn't like or just hated something.

What a dull place we be in then.:/

Wait...wasn't Finding Neverland actually produced before PoTC? Yet the release of the new Peter Pan movie caused Finding Neverland to be pushed back until now?

...so...if they liked him before he sold out, shouldn't all logic say they should like him in this movie?

Of course not. It's easier for people to be shallow and claim indie cred then it is to actually think.

I quite liked the film, myself. But then, I cry at every damn thing. I'm turning into my mother :(

Also (SPOILER)

Kate Winslet's character looked suspiciously healthy for someone who was supposed to have cancer. I look worse than that right now, and I've only got a cold. In fact, I look worse than that all the time.

OMG, he's gotten to be successful and recognized out of his little cult following.

He must be a sellout! /sarcasm

I have to say: rather than being upset with Johnny, I tend to think that the Depp boom of late is more a cause for me to have some renewed hope in the taste of the viewing public.

Then again, one of the people screaming "sellout" says that Russell Crowe is a "much better actor." Not likely to take him seriously anyway. *cough*

i'd say i kinda DOUBT Johnny'd ever do a commerical... and if he did it'd be to promote education or something very positive...

Now where's that photo of that watch ad he did a while back? What brand was it...?

Why do people feel the need to idolise him that much. Something positive, educational. 'Wateva' I'm probably one of the saddest, most devoted Johnny Depp fangirls out there (Omg! I've seen liek 25/26 of his movies [not including Neverland) but I don't feel the need to indulge in pretending he's something he's not. Fangirls should spend more time looking at him and less speculating on his ethics. Hmm, I'll stop now. [/rant]
