Y'know, if you don't look at fandoms by the total amount of wank they produce, but rather by Buckets of Spooge Per Capita, the FMA fandom probably outranks all the others. I mean, sure, LOTR has Victoria Bitter, Crystal, and the tinhats, but the LOTR fandom is huge, especially compared to the tiny, hardly to be accounted for, bean-like FMA fandom.

FMA: the concentrated milk of wanky fandoms.

OK. OK, so she's stating it in an annoying way, but unfortunately I agree with her on one point - which is that yeah, it does get annoying when fans won't get their minds out of the gutter. Sometimes I like to enjoy stuff without thinking of it sexually, and want to have a civilized conversation with someone about it where a fic about someone getting anally violated doesn't come up. Just...just once.

Also: I hate that "IF YOU ODN'T LEIK YAOUI UR HOMOPHOBIC!!" reaction. Granted, any statement that starts with " I'm not [blank], but..." immediately means that yes, you ARE, because you are following that disclaimer with something that immediately contradicts it.

But really? I'm bi and am not a yaoi fan. OMG I AM SELF-HATING! Wait, what?
