Christ, it's pink!
Toolishly, I posted to my JF first.

A followup, as prodded by Iczer6...

One of the anti-yaoi LJ communities has decided it can't take the heat, and is going to haul ass out of the kitchen. Anonymous posting, gone. Dissenting opinions, gone. Anti-yaoi name, gone, 'anti-OoC yaoi' name in place. Pink background in place. Seriously pink. My computer screen looks like it's been sprayed with Pepto-Bismol.

I guess the name change was meant to tell us that they're not really against that icky gay sex, just that icky gay sex between anime characters who aren't gay. But the icky het sex is fine and dandy!

Because it's part of the general string of wanks this belongs to, I thought I should point out a few threads in antiyaoi, as well. Which are extra-amusing, because hey, it's icon/fine art/anime wank, all in one.

Ironically, my LJ is also Pepto-Bismol pink.

Frightening.

And you know what I'm wondering?

Pink is the "gay" colour, along with lavender. So why is their journal in pink, and why does it look so sappy, if they hate uber-sappy gay things?

I'll add that to me the real wank isn't in the Card-Captor- Sakura-Exploded background, it's that despite their new-and-improved stance they really haven't changed a damn thing.

They still have folks making sweeping generalizations and homophobic comments, they still have posters who have no problem saying they hate homosexuals, only now they don't have to put up with folks disagreeing with them.

Please don't insult CCS, it's pink is nowhere near the horror of that pink, based on manga cover and screen comparison. Also dude that anime has more or less canon yaoi, also CLAMP- notorius for including everything these people hate in tehir work, so its kinda amusing to see them go "love!" over Sakura and Syoran. Though, as a front page, the horror of the style is a good warning for the horror of the contents.

No offense meant. I've been a TouyaxYuki since way back when. I was just trying to think of a series that had a lot of pink in it and CCS was the first to come to mind.

True. I wonder if they know that one of the main themes of CCS was tolerance, especially to those who are not het.
