Again, CN knows that people as young as 8 watch Adult Swim, hell, my brother has been watching it since he was 7 since some viewers on the West Coast who have satellite get the broadcast when the East Coast gets theirs, so a 1AM show ends up showing at 10PM, and normal kids usually stay up until 11 on weekends. You should quit thinking about yourself and think about other people when you bitch.

Really?

Cause I was under the impression that with a name like ADULT SWIM and all the warnings the put on saying how these shows aren't meant for children, and that maybe, just maybe the AS line-up isn't designed for seven year olds.

I'm always amused that it's the fans and not the creators who care about the creator's "artistic vision." Is there some great cry over in Japan that the evol Americans butchering their babies?

OK, yes, there is a little. But these would not be the animes we see dubbed. The ones we do see had creators who said "Butcher my artistic vision for a huge amount of money? Where do I sign!?"

God bless them for it.

Also, Gundam is the thirteen year old boy of the fandom world. It wanks hard and constantly.

Ooo! But that's not as bad as the fen who blatantly insist that the manga of Gundam Wing that have been officially accepted are not canon and no different than doujinshi. 'Cause, like, if they didn't, they might be forced to accept a version of Wing where Relena and Heero OMG kissed! And though I cannot speak for the anime version as I've never seen it, Relena is very easy to like in the manga. There's no voice actor and the scenes that she is in tend to make logical sense. Which is a relief since the storyline of the manga is fecking impossible to follow. Sadly, so many mangas insist on copying it.

	I'm afraid I can only refer to the SEED manga, since I've never bothered with any of the other Gundamity. The Relena and Heero thing zooms right over my head like a big fast zooming thing. However, given that Gundam is a phenomenon all its own, I will cheerfully conclude that the Sternly Sucking Cock Face regularly appears on various characters there too. Dude! It's one of those "I'm too lazy to watch my kids, so the TV better not show them anything bad!" parents.

There is a huge warning at the beginning of the time block saying the shows are not suitable for children.

Yeah, I do get highly annoyed at people editing animation, especially animation aimed at an older audience because it just propagates the setereotype that anything animated should be kid-friendly. As someone who wants to make animation of a serious and adult nature, it's like someone putting another brick between me and my goals.

While I hate the whole "OMG THEY CUT A LINE OUT/EDITED A NIPPLE SHOT/WOULDN'T SHOW THESE PEOPLE HAIVNG MAD ASS SEX! CENSORSHIP! THEY MUTILATED THE PURITY OF THE SERIES OMG!!" deal...I also hate people using the damn TV as a babysitter. Adult Swim = unedited stuff. (Except maybe a few minor cuts for time. Which also kinda blows, but what can you do.) Meaning little kids shouldn't be watching it in the first place. :P This stuff isn't meant to be "child friendly", dammit.
