Godzilla vs. TV Nihon, but with less destruction
Someone on [info]pgsm decides to badmouth the only distributor of the series for acting like control freaks. Message entails:

"I just recieved this via email:

You do not have permission to put up a link for tv-nihon. We request you
take it down. Your bad mouthing of us has gone on for just about long
enough. I will give you 24 hours to comply

So, apparently you have to have permission, and worship them as gods, to link their main page, now. Just letting all you other webmasters know. Not sure what will happen in 24 hours."

The masses rebel. Again

ETA: BALEEEEETED. Redjackcash was kind enough to snatch a screenshot for posterity.

Mods step in and rule personal problems as off topic. Little spat in the comments.

There's already some complaints over there about the thread being off-topic. You might want to save a copy of the wank in case it gets axed.

Who wants to bet when it will be BALEETED? Already they are bitching how this is off-topic.

The email itself is pretty wanky. The person from TV-nihon down in the comments talking about how this is perpetuating negativity? Priceless.

Thanks, [info]gaisce ... I was reading this last night and itching to report, but I couldn't keep my big mouth shut.

News to PGSM fans: you can bitch about TV-Nihon on pgsm_fans.

I'm glad I wasn't the only one annoyed by that.

Sorta reminded me of people who dot their "i"s with little hearts.

Then I found out that PGSM is Sailor Moon live action.

I just nodded and made a new Bondage Fairy icon.

glorious, glorious porn. If it's the one I'm thinking of there's a bit involving small fairies being raped by a spider or something. :-)

Ooooh. That sounds so dirty and cheap! (YAY!)

It's the adventures of Pfil and Pamila. They loff each other very much. Very much. Mmmmm. Glorious porn with bondage girls.

ezManga carries scans of Bondage Fairies, but it isn't complete.

It sounds much, much worse in theory than it actually is. It's actually a lighthearted series about the enduring friendship between two women, their bonds being tested by the outside world that continuously tries to come between them ...

... *coff-coff* ... Okay, I'm just a girl-perv.

*SIIIIIIIIGH* as much as I love Live Action Sailor Moon the fans are so WANKY. There was a blessed time when it quieted down after the series ended ,but as soon as the special video only episode came out I KNEW another wank was coming. I could just...SMELL IT.

Live action Sailor Moon...

Please tell me this isn't the American pilot with the happy teen girls dancing around at school, grinning into the camera with the one girl in the wheelchair and the song going "Sailor...SAILOR MOON!!"...

Heh, probably not. But you never know, people will fandom anything.

No, no, thank God, it's not the same. THIS Live Action Sailor Moon is actually a very good show that just finished its run in Japan in September. It's sort of part-first-season, part-manga, part-original. Cheesy, of course, since, Japanese live action and all, but there are some parts I actually like better than the anime (like, OMG, Mamoru HAVING A PERSONALITY).

Very good? Well..sorta. It's good in that cheesy, daytime soap opera sorta way. I mean...tons of blue screening, and you can see the zippers on the outfits for the monsters (I'm not kidding, I have screencaps...)

Think of it more like: Power Rangers for girls. It's a sentai show, through and through. Every episode is the same, they power up, have a CG tranformations sequence, fight a monster, and YAY EVERYTHING IS ALL RIGHT!

P.S. Also Luna is HORRIFYING.

Japanese netiquette must be pretty different from American, because I've been asked to take down a link I had to a Japanese fansite when I was *promoting* it. O_O

(Of course, this being a fanart site, the site owner was probably afraid of her art getting stolen, which is pretty sad when you think about it...)

Years ago, when I was into FFTactics, I'd browse the Japanese webring and look at the sites (I learned a bit of Japanese that way, too). I did notice that some sites were advertised as "Link Free", and others weren't. I always thought it was a little strange- I had the mindset that *all* links were free, neh? This was many years ago, and a lot of those sites have since changed formats, or are completely gone now.

*japantwitch* ... *japantwitch* I'm sorry for this, but sometimes the things my Japanese tutor beat into me with a stick return to haunt me :

1) Spelling is "ne" not "neh"
and
2) Don't put a question mark after writing it, the whole point of ne is that it IS a spoken (or written) question mark of sorts (although that would be ka).

Sorry *cowers*

Oi. I suppose that'd be acceptible if I were talking in Japanese...I'm not the sort of person who goes around, speaking a language I don't know like a pedantic twat. The extent of my Japanese doesn't go beyond reading it.

Last I remembered, "neh?" was an acceptible interrogative grunt in bloody English...my native tongue.

I should add before the power goes out here for the rest of the day, thanks to 50mph winds-

I'm not calling you a pedantic twat- you know, I'm talking about those prats who write fanfiction and say "kawaii" in every other sentence.

Sorry, I felt bad- I didn't want you to get the wrong idea. (this is the second time this week I've appended a comment)

Oh yeah it is. I know one of the biggest differences is it's kinda unspoken (isn't everything over there =P)netiquette to not use official images on websites.

And of course in the US, this is no big deal.
This caused a massive amount of wank between Gainix Co. and Eva fans back when the series first came out.
