Amazing Race spoilers wank!
I hope this counts -- it's small, but I found it amusing in any case.

One poster gets fed up with the lack of LJ-cuts, and lets the community know.


"hate to break it to you, but the ones with the brains are the ones that don't read the community if they don't want to see spoilers. take it off your friends list and put a favorite place or something, it's not hard."

(I live on the West Coast and that's what I do, I just avoid episode talk until after I've seen it. But although it's a valid suggestion, this person presented it in a pretty wanky way.)

"Well, I hate to break it to YOU, but I feel that it's been made clear several times in this community that the posts are to give away NOTHING about the show unless it's behind cuts. Therefore, a logical person would assume that it's safe to read their friends list without having the surprises ruined for them."

Whoa. Sounds like dippydawg1932 needs to lay off the caffeine. When I read o_nevermind's comments I didn't get that sense at all. Sounded to me like it was an offer for an alternative instead of the bitching.

Huh. I would have expected wank to arise (like a tidal wave of splooge) over Jonathan shoving Victoria on camera and not getting any penalties, not spoiler cut wank. I'm very disappointed in the TAR fandom. :P

I'm not sure how that would actually be breaking a game rule, but they might show it next week if it is. (Like Don&MJ with the car.)

Well, most reality shows have a "no violence" rule. Contestants from The Real World and Big Brother have been removed for hitting, shoving and, in one of the BB cases, just throwing chairs around and yelling. I'd be surprised and disappointed if TAR didn't have a similar clause and booted Jonathan from the race.

That's actually being debated about on TWoP (the no-violence clause). That and whether or not CBS should have aired the hit/shove/DOMESTICVIOLENCEOMG in the first place.

There was also some outrage a few episodes back about the teaser that showed Jonathan about to backhand Victoria.

I live on the west coast too, and I do NOT read my LJ friends page until I've seen an episode-- or if I'm really dying to read my flist for other reasons than TAR, I suck it up and take my chances. But that's a choice you have to make.

In a perfect fandom world, people would realize that it's so much easier to keep you yourself spoiler free by not reading anything than it is to try and make 500 other people keep you spoiler free.
