Another BNF Wank...
I suppose this would qualify as a Fannish absurdity.
Anyone ever heard of Nuregwen of LOTR Fandom? Well it appears she has had enough of being a BNF. She is attempting to be as bitchy as possible so people will unfriend her.
First she deleted her journal in attempt to get people to unfriend her. Calling everyone on her f'list f*ckers and the like. Her reasoning is clearly cracked as she states she doesn't want people to friend her, yet she won't quit doing huge the LOTR picspams that attracts the LOTR minions. Worse yet is everyone kissing her ass telling her how right she is and how people should unfriend her.
Someone suggest she makes another LJ for her private use...but hell that is far to logical. And she is way to lazy for that. But wait now she decides she won't complain anymore.
Right well I could go on and on...

Wow, I missed all of that in my occassional glances at her picspam. Okay, maybe someone can explain this to me. I looked at her userinfo, and it says: "Please don't friend me, I probably won't friend you back. kthxbye. [But I won't object if you add me..." Um, how can anyone add you, but not friend you? Duh. I'm also confused as to why she has two journals listed under fic journals that are not hers ([info]fadedink and [info]broadwriting are not her, and not only does she not have either fic journal friended, but she doesn't have either of the authors friended as well. Huh?)

Well. Okay. That last statement was made up. But still. Why does she want people to unfriend her again? It's not like adding someone to your friendslist allows you to see their locked entires unless they friend you back.

Hey! A wank that I'm in! I'm one of the ones who made nuregwen happy by deleting her. Actually, I enjoyed reading her journal, but the comments from her complaining about how many people were on her flist made me feel like a stalker or something, so now I've just bookmarked it for the occasional pic. Honestly, I don't know why she doesn't split the pic posts off into a separate journal, but it's her LJ account.

I was expecting the stuff about boobie_tassels' gift to get reported as wank, though, not the friending/defriending stuff.

Nuregwen provides hi-res pictures of the Ring actors on a daily basis, that made her a BNF. In the wake of the Photo Album wank she decided to chuck the candy-coated facade and turn into a bitch-face.

I saw the post asking for money on my flist, and I skipped right over it. Had nothing to do with me, so I thought, who cares. And then this happened, and I was like WTF?

But really, was it that different then that wishlist thing that went around recently, where you explicitly state what's on your wishlist, no matter the price? You put it up, you expect people to look at it, but do you really expect to get anything unless its from a friend?

Perhaps I am just slow (which I admit is *very* likely) but I wonder what exactly does the entire 'i hate everyone dear lord don't friend me' drama has to do with the whole 'people giving others money to go to cons' thing.

Stupid stupid stupid question that's slightly unrelated, what does BNF mean? I'm not really deep into any fandom and I don't get around much on the net so a lot of the lingo is lost on me.
