Holiday Foxtrot wank!
Today's FoxTrot is the latest in a continuing storyline about Roger visiting the North Pole on the Polar Express after drinking bad eggnog.

The latest strip refers to the fact that it's too pricey for Santa to employ elves, so he's had to outsource the jobs to the Chinese. [info]weekoldsushi takes offense as s/he is Chinese.

Wank ensues. There are arguments about the Chinese economy, and [info]xellchiri manages to work in a Homestar Runner reference in there.

It doesn't take long before Hitler shows up, courtesy of the OP, and Godwin's Law is invoked.

And the 'best comment award' goes to this post.

But wait, there's more on page 2! littlemiss_pms brings up racism, and is shocked, SHOCKED by the whole thing. And mrs_peabody ties it all together by bringing in some election wank.

I love how because people don't agree with [info]weekoldsushi, s/he immediately starts playing the guilt card with: So I'm a bad person for feeling what I do? and I understand how someone could find it funny, but he's making me out to be a bad person because I didn't enjoy a comic strip,

Maybe you'd understand if you were a minority.

Um... I've been a minority (if being a foreigner in Japan for prolonged periods of time counts, which, considering my treatment sometimes, I should think so), and I still don't see what the big deal is.

Psh. If you're going to get wanky over racism, at least pick something funnier/more inflamatory. Good thing he's not Japanese, or I know of some South Park episodes that would have made his head explode.

There was another one in Doonesbury last week where disconscious screamed racism about the comic's commentary on under-trained Iraqi guardsmen. She is eventually run off by laughter, a reference to LJDrama, and a short argument on who's the troll: her or everyone else on the feed. Rather amusing, really. I'm not sure if it was on here or not.
