Something Wanky
Today's Something Positive strip was about the fallout of Davan's apartment building blowing up.

Down in the syndicated feed discussion, someone complains that having 23 enslaved Canadians in the attic is just silly. People try to explain that it's a joke. He either doesn't get it or doesn't care.

*blink*

I....have no words really. Except...wow...yeah. They can accept CHOO CHOO BEAR and yet get hung up on the number of Canadians that WERE in Davan's attic? Emphasis on WERE because they're now dead, so what the fuck does it matter anyhow?

Well, if there had only been, say, fifteen enslaved Canadians in the attic, that wouldn't have been silly at all.

Well, obviously they couldn't all fit up there normally. But see, these Quebecois were all secretly Pedro's illiegitimate children living in stacked rows of cages beside the chickens. That's how he learned English so quickly- he got a cut of the drug money to pay for ESL classes.

Well hell... where can I get 20-odd Canadian drug runners? I'm willing to trade my giant rubber duckey if it will close the deal. I don't have an attic, but I would be very willing to put them up in my garage.

Any takers?

That's just getting pathetic. Do we really need to establish a license for reading comic strip feeds?

*Sez "Guess who's 20 enslaved canadians?" before anyone else can*

Wait, are you saying that no one on FW has brought that up yet or that no one on the thread has said that?

(I would dig through the wank, but, as a lazy American, think trying to find "Air Farce" episodes online would probably be a better use of the limited effort I'm willing to exert tonight.)

Air Farce gives away stuff they've done on their own website, you know. The last few seasons are easy to find because of that - granted, you've got to deal with them in real player format if you get 'em that way, but you can get them sketch by sketch rather than by whole ep. Hence my collection of the Confused Philosopher and Billy Two-Willies sketches grows. XD

That's actually become slang in my roleplaying group. If the DM gets pissed off and does something to tweak the players, it's "Rocks fall, everyone dies."

No no no. Stop this comic at once. It's shown a decided tendency towards being silly. Started off with a nice little idea about a man and his boneless cat, but now it's just gone silly. There are far too many Quebecois in that attic, as well.

For chrissake, does no one on the internet recognize friggin' humor anymore? This kind of absurdism isn't meant to be analyzed or figured out. It's funny precisely because it isn't plausible. *weeps for my species*
