Van Helsing Wank!
djamirgelman really liked Van Helsing. Other people didn't. There is heartfelt argument.

this movie was GRATE and u know it!
all of u!!!

im 17... and im wayyyy over those "action-best-movie-ever" movies!!!
and this movie prooved me that im wrong!

i only like those SMART movies... and those movies that make u think after u watch them...
like K-PAX,THE BUTTERFLY EFFECT, ETERNAL SUNSHINE OF THE SPOTLESS MIND,THE GREEN MILE... stuff like that...

and this movie brang me back to those old days!!! WHAT A FEELING!!!
this movie had a grate soundtrack, a grate ending...
i can't really tell anythin wrong with it...

so ok, this movie purhaps shouldn't be rated 9.x or somethin, like THE RETURN OF THE KIND (LOTR) [which shouldn't have rated this way too btw, but we'r not gonna go into that]...
but this movie should definatly be rated more than 5!

all i know is that i started to watch this movie with so little expactations... and in the end i thought this movie was grate!
and i'm not gonna be shy by saying that i almost cryed in the end! (yes, im very sensative)...

that's all my friends...
feel free to give me opinons, curse me, and do whatever u like...
just so long that it makes u happy ;))))))

take care...

It's almost as much loud, mindless fun as the movie was!

They make me think "maybe I should type out the word 'you.' After all, it's only two more keystrokes."

By the way Djamirgelman, maybe you would like to help get VH 2 & 3 done...

Sadly when I first read that, I thought VH1 the tv channel. I was like "why do we need two more?"

Sadly, there ARE several other VH1 channels.....you get them on satellite and some digital cable packages.

I'm wondering what the "old days" are for a 17 year old who can't type...

And I would think of something clever to say about "RETURN OF THE KIND," but I'm still trying to figure out how to pronounce "wayyyy".

*shudders* Van Helsing. Pouty McCleavage.

You did that to me, Fandom Wank! Now I can't remember the girl's name! Not that I'd really want to, but it makes for many weird looks when I'm trying to complain about the movie and I have to go "The woman. You know. Pouty McCleavage."

... It gets a lot of laughs, but it tends to kill my argument.

After many, many wanks featuring people who spell like this, I am seriously wondering about how English is being taught in schools today. Not to tar all teenagers with the same brush (as I was one myself not too long ago), but why, WHY, WHY for the love of God do most teenagers that I come across online spell like this?!?

Also, given his spelling, I shouldn't be surprised that he considers The Butterfly Effect a "SMART" movie.

Dude, I think your attachment to "smart" movies would seem more sincere if you actually had a rudimentary grasp of the English language.

See, I went to see Van Helsing with my mother. She paid her $7.50 and sat down expecting to see a fairly decent action/adventure movie with supernatural themes. I, on the other handed, expected two hours of Hugh Jackman in leather killing things. I'll let you guess who walked out of the theater with their expectations fulfilled.

It's not supposed to be a good movie. It's a shiny piece of crap and makes no apology for it. Don't bother justifying why you like it. I loved it so much that I got it for Christmas, yet I also sit and mercilessly mock it.

Van Helsing is about pretty people with pretty weapons fighting pretty special effects against a pretty background, and is in general all about the Pretty. The day that someone attempts to write their senior thesis on it is the day I shall laugh until I vomit.

Of course, I wrote a hundred page analysis of the movie Labyrinth, so I'm hardly one to talk. :)

I'm just happy I can use my icon!

In his defence, perhaps djamirgelman was rendered senseless by Hugh Jackman in leather pants.

Or perhaps Count Roxula's (thank you !) camp was so high it made him giddy.

Or maybe, like myself, Daisy David Wenham's ears profoundly affected his soul.

I also really dug those Bride costumes. Not so much Pouty McCleavage's. (Thank you !)

Meh. Seems to be like the OP is a prime example of the Van Helsing target demographic:

- 16 - 25? check!

- Male? Check!

- Illiterate? Check!

- Unquestioning love of pap? Check!

- Thinks Ashton Kuchter has made an intelligent movie? Check!

- Can quote Flash Dance (and could be a closet homosexual)? Check!

I wish *my* 19 year old brother would spend his time squeeing on the internet rather than browbeating us about "The Butterfly Effect was the most intelligent time travel story EVAH! And you just don't want to admit it because you're opressing me" as he spent yesterday doing.

I applaud this young man. He's sparing his family a lot of pain.

Get it out of my fandom! We have enough problems with people questioning our taste and sanity already without b00bs like this making the fanbase look even worse. *facepalm* :(

The free-range Van Helsing fan just wants to worship in peace but then wankers like this have to come around waving a giant 'omg LOOKIT ME' flag and suddenly we're dragged out into the light and chased around by peasents with torches and pitchforks and-- ...... *stops...looks around*

Right. I'll just be going back to my corner of the internet now.

I shudder to think of what earth-shattering conclusions he came to, having watched those movies.

so ok, this movie purhaps shouldn't be rated 9.x or somethin, like THE RETURN OF THE KIND (LOTR) [which shouldn't have rated this way too btw, but we'r not gonna go into that]...
but this movie should definatly be rated more than 5!

This one took me a minute, beacuse I first saw "rating" and thought that it was the parental guidence rating factor, and was all "what's with the numbers?" This is what I get for trying to read that monstrosity of grammar and spelling errors on no sleep whatsoever.

Then I saw Return of the Kind and wondered what kind? Or maybe he meant kind as in nice, cheerful, sweet. And then I sporfled at the thoiught of Mr. Rodgers playing Aragorn. Would'nt that just be creepy?

I already laughed at it. I just wanted to use my QoW icon.
