You should hear the bitching that goes on in Power Rangers fandom every fucking year now that Disney has taken over and decreed that each season is 38 episodes.

Some people hope and pray that we'll get 40 "becuz omg tehy contragted teh actors for 40 eps!!!111" but every year, it's 38. And the bitching continues...

Around 51 episodes used to be standard when an anime lasted the entire year--one per week, after all. (Sailor Moon averaged around 49 episodes a year except for the last one.) But it seems like the newer stuff only gets half a season (26 episodes) at most.

Some fans/fandoms are too spoiled. Three of my favourite shows only have 13 episodes and another one "only" 26. If you think that over 50 episodes are not enough, read the mangas (which are mostly much better than the anime adaptations anyway), or read and write fanfiction and, most important: stop whining.

You know, 52 episodes used to sound like so much. But then I got into Prince of Tennis, where they're on episode... 140 or so, with no signs of stopping. 52 episodes is almost a relief. Less to buy.

51? I wouldn't be bitching. Most of the ones I end up ~~selling my soul to~~ liking only go for about 24-36 eps. The payoff is you usually get better animation and art quality ~~except for really cynical shitty ones like Peace Maker you bastards totally ruined a perfectly good story and gorgeous manga die die die~~.

I think that they ended it rather nicely, and I'd rather it not become like certain anime where there's nothing but fillers that just drive you completely batty. Prince of Tennis and Yuugiou for example. Love 'em both, but the fillers are driving me insane.

Like a previous comment said, there's the movie coming up. There's CD Dramas, and GASP! the manga is still out.

But of course, if you want to die, I'm not stopping you.
