When I found it, it was about 20-30 comments and basically had the "If you don't fucking like it, lick your underwear," or whatever that line about Mary Sue comms was, and a lot of "I didn't mean to offend anyone! I just don't know why you're illegally capping a movie you don't like!" "It's not illegal!" "Not liking it has nothing to do with it!" Etc.

Then I checked back, right before I talked to you, and it had blown the hell up to like 130+ comments, and a thread so long it doubled back on itself, like, three times. Dude.

I have to agree. I just knew it was fake given the immediate decline from "You seem to have a lot of time on your hands" to "Lick my taint you douchegulper!!!!!111". That and the "my friend's journal put it over the top.

After reading the rest, I'm not so sure these are wholly sincere

	Saw that - what amused me about it was that we've got girls from a NYC private school claiming they don't have tons of money. Sorry, but most people (you know, the folks likely reading this, wondering how said girls from an NYC private school could not be filthy rich) don't live in million dollar apartments, ktnx. Okay, on a more serious/less bitchy note, speaking as someone who went to an NYC private school, we're not all filthy rich. Am I going to pretend my family is dirt poor, no, but we don't live in a million-dollar apartment, I'm not getting enough financial aid from my college, we don't have a car (got rid of it because it was far too expensive), and my parents have made it very clear to me since I was a kid that if I hadn't been a spoiled only child, I'd be hauling my ass though the ultra-shitty NYC public school system now. For the part of the city we live in, we manage to be comfortable, but we're not living in extravagance here.

Word. I went to prep school in Connecticut, and while we had our fair share of uberrichies from the city, we also had kids from Harlem who came from the Prep4Prep program with full rides, kids whose parents were solidly middle class but managed to parlay two mortgages and two jobs into just enough tuition, and all sorts of people in between getting a whole range of financial aid. To make massive generalizations about the sort of people at these schools belies a lack of knowledge or experience with them.

	Actually, my parents just scrape by, and yet I went to a private Catholic university (LaSalle U) on an academic full ride I earned, but I'm by far the exception. Most of the other kids were upper middle class, regardless of whether or not they were getting financial aid. So yeah, you can make some generalizations. (Reply to this)(Parent)
