Coach Carter wank... feels dirty saying that, somehow...
IMDB wank, how we adore thee.
Because I am an idiotmasochist, I frequently poke around the IMDB message boards. Yes yes, I know. That's my first mistake.
On the Coach Carter boards, apparently the issue of race has come up several times as a subject of discussion. Might as well beat that dead horse a little more, I always say. Anything worth doing is worth doing right.
Quangijuat starts a new topic, A RACIST MOVIE!!!!!11 with the sole intent of mocking/calling to attention the absurdity of calling every movie ever made OMG!RACIST!! Unfortunately, the rest of the board is (a) dumber than a box of rocks, (b) does not read past the subject header of a post before composing a reply, (c) all of the above, and much wank ensues.
I'm not sure if this is actual wank or just mind-numbing stupidity, so flog and berate me if necessary.

"I agree whole heartedly with your assertion that Coach Carter is a racist movie. I mean, there is only ONE white man in the whole film! One! Why, if we do a statistical analysis of California, we see that 45% of the population is white, while 15% are black. According to this ratio, shouldn't there be at least 3 white people to every one black person? Looking at the town of Richmond specifically, the amount of black people STILL only clocks in at 25%, while whites mark a much higher 40%.
It is clear that Coach Carter does not accurately reflect the racial proportions of a real life scenario. We should strive to have total and complete ethnic reality! It just isn't fair to all the white people that they automatically have a lesser chance of getting into a "black" movie, simply because their skin color does not qualify them as such!! It's unfair, and exceptionally racist!
