I love the smell of barely disguised self-congratulation in the morning....
Slodwick, Fanart BNF, thinks that her friend's list should give her speshal awards because she was ignored by the Hollywood Foreign Press on Sunday and not invited to the Golden Globes.

Comments range from 'OMG I wanted to post [wank] like this too!" to people who actually took her seriously.

Meh, it's no worse than that "I'll lie and say I love anyone who answers, and then they can kiss my ass in return" meme. It's a bit obviously fishing for compliments, but I don't see any wank. They seem pretty harmonious, in fact.

WTF N00B! Wank doesn't just refer to flame wars. It also can often refer to egregious verbal masturbation.

Actually that's sort of the original definition of "wank."

Hmm. Is this the part where the wank-community gets used to start actual wank about something completely wankless? Should the wank-community at this point not interfere by checking out the poster him/herself and making a wank about the fact that apparently the journal is only used for wank? Hmmm. On the one hand, I and most of my friends thought that post is pretty wanky, but on the other hand, I'd also caution to say that you have to know slodwick to see why it's wanky, so I think this post a) is from someone who knows her, obviously and b) way, way too obscure for fandom_wank. I think you're posting an inside joke, and only the people who know her and already don't like her understand why it's an assy inside joke.

The one thing this post has made me realize is that I no longer have any idea what 99% of people mean when they say "wanky." Like, judging by some of the comments, it now apparently means "wrong about thinking something is wanky" now, too. Like it's now just been diluted to mean "kind of annoying." I can't figure that one out at all.
