More WoW Wank.
On the Perenolde server, Blacktalon declares that people on the side of the Alliance are cowards for raiding newbie and starter towns on the Hoarde's side. She names names, and even mentions the guild they belong to, Wings of Griffons.

And of course, along comes a lot of angry answers. The accused people, as well as others from their guild, come in to defend themselves, and even as some people attempt to keep things civil, it still goes downhill anyway.

There's a debate on PvP, as well, and everyone arguing whether or not people should complain about newbies enabling PvP to battle against much higher levels invading their territories, etc.

It even includes a mini-wank in the middle of all the back and forth debate and insult flinging as Blackberry and Kassi get into it over Blackberry apparently lying about her own raiding on Alliance newbie towns. (Complete with screen shot evidence, even!)

Unfortunately, I have no idea where I got the original picture anymore and I've long since lost it due to harddrive failure on my last computer. Sorry. :/

Ok, I know that this is probably going to ignite a flame war – and that someone is going to want to turn me into a charcoal briquette, but I just have to say something!

Mmmm, trolly.

Not knowing WoW, I have no freaking clue what's going on in that thread.

Neither do I, man (there's a reason I play NWN by myself). I feel like I need to ask for a glossary or something

As someone who does know the depths of the wankiness of it all, I must entreat you to ask yourself.

Do you really want to know?

I think the WoW people should come up with a way to hide your level, and use lower one in its place.

After a few ass-beatings, I think the habit of picking on newbies would die PDQ.

It's not as if you can't respawn.

God. This is such a non-issue. If you're a level 3, and you see a level 60 enemy coming along in a starter town, the *only* way to get killed is to start it yourself, in which case you're too stupid to be playing. That's why they implemented provoke-only PvP in uncontested home territories in the first place.

Except when the assholes kill the flightmasters so you can't leave. UGH HATE HATE.

Yeah, but it doesn't really sound like they were NPC-camping. The OP alleges that they were corpse-camping players, but like I said, that's impossible in controlled territory unless the low-levels attacked them first.

Waiting for the next spawn is an inconvenience, but IMHO not a huge deal. It's not like successful raids shouldn't have any penalties whatsoever, and if the server is really up in arms about it, it's time to send in a few mounted paladins to patrol.

Yeah, generally I don't care about waiting to respawn; it's not that big a slice of my life. I just have been in a situation where they did camp the NPCs and my teeth grit involuntarily whenever I hear about it (should go on a therapy quest).

I still have the gut-wrench feeling that they're total assholes, though, when I hear about this stuff; it's probably just because I've never been in an MMORPG like WoW before.

See, that all made way more sense once I found out it wasn't text-based.
