And thus they have descended upon LJ...
We already know [info]fm_alchemist is as wanky as it could get. Although in the past, wank is limited to 'OMG!My OTP is better than yours!!' or something as silly as the color of Roy's eyes.

Until someone posts her fan character in the community.

No wank as of yet, but the post count is rapidly growing. Even now, cries of 'Mary-Sue!' have emerged.

[Edit]:Correction. This is wankier. ^__^ Two in one day? Classic!

*sigh*

Call the wank after it happens. They're watching, you know.

As it is, it's just some deluded fangirl's scribbling.

I wonder why she thought people would actually be interested in her fan character. As far as I know, the only people who read character profiles have a reason to, like game mods and best friends.

When you love your character so much, you just have to share the love! It's like the kiddies who walk in on fantasy shop sellers to tell them all about their RPG characters. I think it's kind of cute. Then again, I don't work in a fantasy shop.

You know what, I keep telling myself that there is no reason for me to be annoyed, no reason whatsoever, but I still find myself being irritated by the fact that pretty much 80%* of the comments on the "discussion of episode 11" post basically amount to "HAHAHA SEX." I just... yes, it is funny when a double entendre is made, we don't need to see eighteen different people write "OMG 'ON YOUR KNEES' THAT IS SO WRONG" and to make a complete U-turn while the Sue doesn't seem all that Sue-ish really these people need to learn to PLEASE KEEP IT IN THEIR OWN JOURNALS AND

*dies from wank overload*

Um, I think I'm done now.** *looks around guiltily and furtively wipes hand on nearest moist towel*

He must have gotten the names mixed up. Ed was telling Russell to get down on the ground on his knees. (facepalm)

Though I love the comeback he had for Ed: "What, so you can see eye to eye? You must be used to people looking down on you all the time!"

She decided she would scrape the transmutation circle into the palm of her left hand, it would be painful, but with the given situation it was the best course of action she could think of.

Ow. Owowow. I'm not sure what hurts worse: The thought of _doing_ this or the thought that someone decided this would be a good thing for a character to do.

She did put a lot of thought into the character, obviously, which is a lot more than most people do. Though I always try to put a weakness section on my character profiles...reminds me that I have to make sure my characters are completely and utterly batshit not Mary Sues. Not that it always works, but sometimes it does...

My problem is that there's already a canon character who permanently scarred his hands with a transmutation circle (two, actually). Not completely sure if it was actual scarring or scraping, but it was permanent.
In other words, hasn't this already been done before?

hime1999: And her bad traits are?
OP: being nosey and obnoxious
hime: I mean the real bad trait. As in faults. Umm, for example, my OC, Masuta, is deathly afraid of fire that he passed out on spot when Havoc burst into fire in front of him.

Okay, um. No love for Mary Sues, here, but... "nosy and obnoxious" don't qualify as faults?

Oh, no, wait. It's gotta be just like his OC, or it don't count.

1. Giving an original character an overly-simplistic flaw like, say, "fear of fire" does not mean that your character is not a Mary Sue. It might only mean that you are trying to cover up the basic Mary Sueness of your Mary Sue. I thought we'd seen through that one ages ago (http://enterprise.mathematik.uni-essen.de/~bastian/Ranma/MarySue.html). (Eh, I can't say one way or another whether this applies to any of the characters on that thread. I'm just sayin'.)
