	Why does Mensa Member equal 'omg genius' for so many? People who join Mensa are generally either bored, or eager to prove something. It doesn't mean much. I test incredibly high on IQ scales and I'm pretty fucking mediocre in all aspects of my life including academia. (Reply to this)(Thread)

Everyone who has ever joined Mensa voluntarily is a fucking idiot in my book, no matter what his/her IQ score is. I mean, what sort of shmuck actually goes out and pays a membership fee to join an organization dedicated declaring how smart everyone in it is? Can we say "compensation issues," anyone?

Whoever FOUNDED Mensa, on the other hand, was fucking brilliant. To paraphrase someone or another, you can never go broke playing on nerds' poor self-esteem.

OK, honestly? I understand what kolinka is trying to say, why the fuck is everyone reacting so dramatically? She just seems to be suggesting that perhaps one should not take the media portrayal of a human being as being the gospel truth about who they are, and then shrwhyte attacks her based off of assumptions that he KNOWS Paris does it all because she LOVES the attention, which is a hefty assumption to make about someone you DON'T KNOW. Now, what kolinka probably isn't picking up is that, regardless of one's intelligence, you are judged by your actions...and none of Paris' actions seem to reflect any kind of intelligence. Booksmart people can be absolute retards, if they so choose to be.

But then again, stalking a mediocre celebrity to the amount as to try and read her personal love letters is just fuckin' LOW.
