Just because you people (I mean the yaoi haters) can't understand why two men loving each other is so beautiful gives you no right to insult those of us that do. You are insulting the whole gay community when you do that! As a lesbian, I take offense to that. You hate yaoi, so therefore, you hate gays. It's not hard logic to follow. I'm not wrong in that conclusion so to all the "elite writers" of the Suikoden fandom--shut up.

I'm just going to hit my head against the monitor until this makes sense.

Dear God. And maybe some of us simply aren't turned on by man-on-man sex, and don't like to see the stereotypical-feminatization of one or more of the yaoi pair. What's happened to my mighty warrior elf, Legolas, is criminal! (and yeah, that certainly isn't just the slash-writers fault, but I feel like blaming them at this particular moment. I never said I was fair)

I will admit that minni nails it as to a lot of what I don't like about yaoi either, with:

I rarely read yaoi because I simply don't like yaoi. I don't like seeing every single character in a series become homosexual, as if it's contagious. I don't like seeing the female characters shoved under a rock, or bashed, or made into evil, out-of-character bitches. I don't like seeing a really neat heterosexual relationships that exist in canon to be ripped apart so two guys can act out of character and be as interesting as cardboard to make out. Don't get me wrong; I do still read it, searching for a rare gem where someone actually has the skill to make the breakup and the new relationship work, to make the story fun to read. However, the majority of you fail at the same rate as Mary Sue writers fail to generate interesting characters who help the story rather than steal the limelight.
