Old Home Wank
From my original net fandom, Baldur's Gate, comes some classic old-skool wank.

The BG fic site, called The Attic, has always been its own little corner of the Gamejag site. Recently, the site switched from the old CGI-based board software to phbBB system, like the one used on Fiction Alley, among many, many other places.

The new site admin posted a link to a site with some good fantasy avatars, commenting that "some are um... adult... so let's not and say we did, OK?" Almost immediately, a poster who rivals Ms. A for the title of Queen of Delusion replied, asking why "now we are encouraged by the administration to pick um... adult avatars." This sparked a wave of complaints about various new aspects of the site redesign, including the beer glass icons to mark posting levels, and the poster level titles. Throughout the thread, people continue to assert that they are being encouraged to choose avatars with nekkid babes, despite the admin saying that if people used such avatars, she would have to delete them. And of course, there's the obligatory threat to take the ball and go home.

My favorite bit from this wank is the righteous anger over using *gasp* beer glasses as counter icons. So inappropriate, especially for a fic site based on an RPG where you spend 75% of your time chopping various critters into bloody gibbets, and the other 25% hanging out in taverns chatting up the wenches and serving boys.
