	I am surprised people are shocked by this. I've seen other older pictures of her with armpit hair before. I think it's something she does pretty regularly. More like, something she doesn't do pretty regularly! Ahahahaha... okay, I'll shut up now. Also, insects, animals and small children have been known to get lost in my armpit hair. 	As was mentioned on Metaquotes, that's obviously "hair" in the singular. Anyway, they should see my armpits. And my legs. Both of which I think look better with hair, as opposed to stubble and cuts (or that plucked-chicken look, which I seemed to get every time I shaved under my arms :( ) (Reply to this)

	Maybe I'm just a strange kid, but when I saw that picture, I didn't think "Ewwww! Disgusting!" I thought "Wow, that's gotta itch like a mofo. ::Scratch scratch::" Which basically boils down to why I shave, it itches if I don't. 	Hmmm, I shave my armpits but not my legs. I really dislike the numb feeling I get the few times I do shave my legs, like someone has applied ice to my skin from the knee down. I mostly wear jeans, any ways, so I don't care what my legs look like. I'm a brunett, too, so when I wear shorts my hairs are nicely visible! Strangely enough, no one has commented on it. Ever. And he's saying it while wearing purple nailpolish, which combined with the rampant gender-role rigidity in this post amuses me a bit. blah blah blah, burning your bra went out a long time ago. Especially since if you don't remember to take off your bra before burning it, the armpit hair will catch fire. The stupid hurts me so very badly, and I shave almost daily (it itches, man, and it takes me about a grand total of two minutes anyway) But then, I find hairy armpits/chests/legs/backs on guys to be equally gross, if not moreso, than girl-hair, so meh. I only shave when the clothes I'm wearing are actually going to show the hair (tanks, shorts, etc.) Otherwise I'm a lazy bitch who really couldn't give a damn. Although I do shave my pits more often for hygiene reasons; I can't use anti-perspirant because I'm allergic, and my deodorant tends not to be as effective when my hair is thick. I still have no clue what body hair has to do with feminism, though. (Reply to this)

Meh, I don't understand the 'gross' thing. To me, shaving is along the lines of wearing makeup. It certainly does make one look more socially attractive, and I would do if I were dressing up. But these people seem to equate it with showering or combing one's hair. I mean, if it's 'gross' and 'unhygienic' for women not to shave..well, men have hair too, yes? Whenever this topic comes up many people talk about how they shave for themselves and not for men's approval, which is fine, but personally I hate shaving and would never do it if nobody cared, but I have pale skin and black hair so that would not go over so well. So yes, there is social pressure there. (Reply to this)
