It had to happen.
Sesslerwank Ahoy

Not as sticky as the last one (yet) but we'll see where it goes. Right now it's only a little circle jerk. Here we go.

In the thread about her self published book, Adele defends her vanity press decision by saying, "For the past few years people have been asking for me to get it in print so they could read it easier, as not many people like to read it online."

Someone calling themselves Charity shows up and calls her on it, saying that people have been asking Adele for years if they could jsut print the damned thing themselves, and she keeps shooting them down. She says she doesn't care what Adele does with her money or anyone else's, but Adele's argument doesn't make sense. She also says she's from (GASP!) F_W. One of our own, and we don't know you? Charity, step up.

"Skip" tries to snark that Charity's user name isn't very accurate. Boring.

Spools points out that Charity is not "rabid" and therefore should not be hated.

Adele replies. Printing paper, ink, and the cost of electricity to run a printer is too expensive for people, so instead they can buy the book. Also, Adele seems to think that of other people printed out her book, she would lose her copyright. But if she herself has it printed, her copyright stands. Or, in her words, When something is an online story anybody can cut/paste and whalah they have written a novel. Uhh, yes. Whalah.

Charity laughs.

Juliet defends Adele: "OMG HUR WORK IS SO COOL SHE RAWKS" No, honestly. Those are her actual "words." Even hilarious-er, she points out that, hey, lots of books don't have a decent plot, what's the problem? Quiet possibly the bestest defense of Adele's work yet. ;)

Surprizingly (only without the actual surprize,) the thread is locked.

Charity, however, won't take no for an answer. F_W gets another dishonorable mention.

In case this thread gets BAAAaaaaAAAaa-leted,

It was uncalled for whoever locked the post so no one wlse could have a say.

Because this is a discussion and there are still some points i feel I
should make.

Mistakes in my typing are usually becaue I'm a bad typist first of all,
second b/c one of my fingers is bandaged ruight now and I'm not about
to check every little thing.

Making a typo is not the same as not knowing a common word, especially
if you're calling yoruself a writer. "Whallah". Come on, really.

Adele in italics, Charity's response not in italics:

The way you reacted was also exactly how people on FW and other whiny
mock forums react when I reply to anything. You dish out a bunch of
'points', I say something contrary, and then you freak out and go "Oh how
snarky!

Trust me on this Adele you are not anything near being snarky.

Your overuse of the "it's vanity press, that's no good" inuendo was
annoying. Self publishing is not something shameful and derogatory. It
simply means you're paying to print something out.

It wasn't an innuendo, I, like most people feel that vanity press is
sub par.

Flamers are not letting people find out for themselves, they're mass
attacking so it bombs and nobody buys it.

Letting? The publc is allowed to do whatever they want. bad reviews
might discourage sales but there's no way they could disallow it, so stop
exaggerating.

Do they suddenly have this sincere pang for the rest of humanity and
wish to spare a random stranger the agony of perusing the worst book (in
their opinion) the world has ever seen?

It could be, we have no way of knowing what goes on in people's minds.

It's remarkable how many people hate my work so much but yet they seem
to know it better than my fans do, have memorized links to all my
stuff, watch constantly for updates, and take the time out to write pages of
complaints for the public.

It's remarkable how people convince themselves of their own importace
by thinking that every one who doesn't like them is their enemy or is
out to gt them.

Adele, very good of you to avoid the other things that I wrote in
favour of simple complaining. Like for instance 'Exactly. Which is why lots
of people repeatedly asked you if they could print it, and you always
responded no.' 'Adele, think a little. Whether they print it for cheap
or you print it for $700, the coyright remains the same. No difference.'
AMong other things.

Juliet in italics, Charity's response not in italics:

because since I was 9 I was "OMG HUR WORK IS SO COOL SHE RAWKS"

That seems to be the case, usually.

If it's SOOOOOO terribly awful, for Christ’s sake, stop looking at it!
Spare yourself the agony! Don't read such horrible material!

Don't like don't read. The typical response.

Yes I was on F_W but I'm not attacking you, I'm just giving you my
thoughhs on this. Some things for you to think about. It's not like I'm
like I'm one of the people using icons of your drawings, or posting links
to your blog (like here
http://www.journalfen.net/community/fandom_wank/541129.html I wouldn't
do that, but really. You want to talk about whiny.) or accusing you of
having inapropriate thoughts and drawings aboutr naked little boys like
http://www.journalfen.net/community/fandom_wank/611645.html?thread=53740605#t53740605
those people there.

I'm sorry for my typos. Damn bandage.

charity

Another F_W Honorable mention by Adele. F_W IS OBSESSED W/ME!!!!!1111 ("And the rants about me on F_W are stupid! Those people have no lives, they obsessively stalk these boards (and yes, obsessively!")

My god, the funny just keeps on coming.
