Over on interpol_nyc, deleted_member argue that only people who appreciate Interpol as the visionary poets they are can count as true fans. Or something.

Reactions vary: "Overreacting much?", "The mood you picked was wrong for the tone of the post OH NOES!", "Are you putting words into someone's mouth?" and "Pick your quotes more carefully in future, darling!".

The whole thread is pretty damn wanky, mind.

Bonus wanks in the same comm: The OC used an Interpol song! How dare they! and Evil video drama.

Can someone make me an icon with that phrase? Maybe with that Paris Hilton House of Wax Poster image? Because I find myself wanting to say that to all of the people participating in this wank. And many others in the future, I'm sure.

Yes, I hear it's very disrespectful to play someone's music once they're dead.

The OC always has great music in every single episode. Say what you want about the actual show (I happen to like it), but whoever is in charge of choosing the soundtrack can have my babies any day.

	Yeah, I've only watched about an episode and a half total (mostly due being busy the night it's on most of the time), but I was really impressed with the music choices. I agree. I highly doubt that a poet or any sort of writer wouldn't put his or her full heart into the writing.

So not only is the internet serious business, so is MUSIC!
So apparently the Outhere Brothers were writing their heart and soul into say...Boom Boom Boom. Or even better, Spacekat's Mellow is surely a real and true glimpse into the heart of an artist. Mellow is now my personal anthem.

I love the irony of the fact that

deleted_member picks LJ moods randomly (for seemingly NO REASON AT ALL, instead of just not picking a mood) and gets all uppity when someone questions him on it, because WHY DOES IT MATTER, and turns around then says:
It just makes me angry. What if some one told you that a song that deeply affected you was meaningless? What if they told you anything extremely important to you was meaningless??

I also love that he said "I hate you" to someone because they said Jim Morrison was a hack. No, no, you don't want to start shit at all.
