OMG, he doesn't read it OK!!
Setting aside the fact that I didn't know who Will Wheaton was (shut-up, I didn't watch early Star Trek ;)

I got to find an amusing set of comments on his actor's blog.

People comment, some people respond:

HE DOESNT FUCKING READ THIS.

i dont care iff they comment, but people refuse to realize that he doesnt read this. i mean its common sense, have you ever seen answer anyone comments in here?

Now I'm glad I'm not his fan.

It's a feed, it's not like he has an LJ*. He can't even see the comments. Same with Neil Gaiman's blog, and there's always some newbie addressing comments to him as though he's going to see them.

Still, burism is a cranky, wanky individual.

I didn't even know this when I commented, sometimes I just comment without paying attention to the LJ user.

As far as I know, he doesn't have an LJ. But he does have a public blog, and people go there all the time.

He doesn't have any reason to read the feed, if he even knows it's there. But people comment on LJ feeds all of the time anyway, because they're clueless.

I was real confused at first cause you didn't link to his actual blog. XD

But yeah, he does respond a bit at his own site, and he's been known to comment occasionally at fark.com, so that makes it even funnier that people are throwing fits that he's not responding to a feed he probably doesn't even know about.

This happens on every LJ feed of any "celebrity" blog. People don't pay any attention to the fact that it's a feed and treat it like the actual blog -- as you didn't, actually, since your link is to the feed, not to the blog.

Considering the amount of grief he's taken for being "Wesley Crusher" it's not surprising he's a bit snarky. He's pretty damn bitter and it would be very amusing if not for the passionate, almost religous like zealous some people hate him and the character he played. It's just...sad.

Why do actors/actresses/singers/etc..have blogs if they can't/don't read them?

Is there a point to them other then reading the comments?
