Grade A Author!Wank, FFVII Style
Tipped off by an Anonymouse. It seems there's trouble at the FFVII Citadel:

Phoenix45000 had a fanfic up at the Citadel, until it was recently pulled for reasons he can't fathom. He proceeds to splooge all over the forum for sympathy, none of which he receives. Much like F_W itself, the forumgoers proceed to eat him alive. With spelling, grammar, and liberal amounts of Ego-D-Flate(TM) for seasoning.

Dear God, I can't believe FFVII Citadel is still alive and kicking. I was there when it opened, which makes me feel really old. I remember the times when we would wank for weeks, nay, months on those messageboards. Was Aeris supposed to live? Is that her ghost in the church or a glitch in the game? Who is the guy in the tunnel? Does anyone actually care?

Hey, Phoenixwhatevernumber, your fic sucked. I know for a fact that FFVII fans are tenacious, but stop embarrassing yourself.

EEK! Not to hate on Brian, but there has been some real crap over there throughout the years. I wouldn't go using that site as a gauge for how good a work of fanfiction is.

Well, there is the whole thing where the fics that were submitted before there was a committee to weed through them...stayed on the site. As an example, I guess? XD

The webmaster's my age, so it's hard to judge the stuff that was posted nearly ten years ago to what's being posted now.

I used to go to that place years ago, and if that particular board was still up, I could dig up so much wank from the mod. Ugh. Does she still do that thing where she posts something like "I hate you all you made this not as fun I'm leaving!!!!" every once in a while?

Eh, both sides seem a little wanky. I mean, the author's throwing a fit, but I don't really have respect for places that change policy without grandfathering in existing stuff. It's a little weird here, cause it was apparently a work-in-progress, but suck up the old webmaster's mistakes and don't be rude and disingenuous. Lends a feeling of "who knows what standards the next webmaster's going to use to throw stuff off the site?"

I keep debating submitting to the site, as I basically only write FF7, but the ficweeder said somewhere else, NO MORE epics. My shortest is around 14k words. *FROWN*
