Finding Neverland wank
So, over on IMDb, there's a cute little (maybe not so little) wank, still going on after a month, about Finding Neverland.

In this post, user bradpittismine proclaims: "Brad Pitt should have had Depp's role, then maybe he would have won the Oscar. Pitt is a much better actor. He can act anything, he's amazing. Depp sucks."

Aaaand they're off. (And meanwhile, I will just point at Troy. more specifically Brad's "acting" in Troy, and just giggle.)

Anyway. Most people come out of the woodwork and say that there's no way that Pitt could have done a better job in the J.M. Barrie role than Depp, people agree with them. There's some bashing of Pitt's inability to do an accent (Achilles from Oklahoma anyone?), and some general "Now, I like Brad, but... no." type postings.

Apparently bradpittismine has a history of hitting movie boards and proclaiming that "Brad Pitt would have been better than (so-and-so) in (movie)." Such as, going to the Pulp Fiction board to proclaim that Pitt would have been better than Travolta in Pulp Fiction, better than Ewan McGregor in Moulin Rouge, Russell Crowe in Gladitor, and better than Viggo Mortensen in Lord of the Rings</a>. Other personal favorites that show up when you look at the poster's history are that a remake of It's a Wonderful Life should be made so Pitt could play George Bailey, The Wizard of Oz should be remade with Brad in the "leading role" (Oh yes, I want to see Brad Pitt in a little blue and white checked pinafore myself, but really now, that's a kink for a different time.) and remaking A Clockwork Orange. With, you guessed it, Brad as the lead.

I don't know if it's a troll or not. Can't quite decide, considering how persistent they are.

And then along comes Kalvin_ . Who, anytime someone that he refers to as a teenybopper defends Johnny Depp, decides s/he needs to rip their argument of "Depp is better than Pitt" to shreds, and make no sense at all while he does it, while making asshatish assumptions to the commenters ages.

It's more fun for the linked history page, really, but still an amusing read nonetheless, especially when the Depp fans start frothing.

Wow. Brad as Alex in A Clockwork Orange... *tries to picture the "Singing in the Rain" scene*

Um, no.

Brad would have made a better Scarlett O'Hara than Vivien Leigh.

And he should have replaced Jennifer Beals in Flashdance.

Why wasn't Brad Gollum, dammit?! He would have rocked!

(Wouldn't he have gotten kind of exhausted doing thirty movies a year?)

No. Brad Pitt is a tireless movie-making machine! In fact, I fail to see why he couldn't also direct, film, edit, choreograph, cast, storyboard, and produce every movie as well.

I, too, would like to see Pitt as Alex in A Clockwork Orange.

However, as Stanley Kubrick is *dead*, I think it would fairly suck without him. I'd still watch it, though, just because it would be that bad.

Damn Stanley Kubrick for making that movie without waiting for Brad Pitt to become legal!

Actually, so would I, as long as they make the scene where the cops beat the shit out of him at least twice as long as the original.

*pictures Brad!Aragorn shagging Legolas* Hmm, that sounds kinda hot.

When contemplating what other actor could have played Aragorn well, you really only have to consider whether or not he'd have chemistry with Orlando Bloom and whether the two would look good makin' with the love.

I enjoy Pitt's work. I think he's a really great actor who's just in a lot of shitty movies (Much like Tom Cruise, actually)

However...him as J.M. Barrie? Alex? Vincent Vega?

Um, no.

Am I the only one who doesn't think Brad is as hot as many say? Not to mention I don't think he's that good of an actor... I've liked him in like four characters and that's it.

Then again, I didn't like Depp until PotC, so ^^u

I'm going to take this joke and run with it and use it to annoy my movie-fan friends after all future award shows.

Friend: "[incert fav movie of teh year] should totally have won best movie!"
Me: "And it would have, had it only stared Brad Pitt!"

Repeat ad infinitum.

I liked Brad pitt in Fight Club and that is it. He's not really hot unless I picture him doing the sex with Ed Norton. (Given the nature of Fight Club, I'm not sure how that pairing could work out.)

I've tried to be a Brad Pitt fangirl since I think he's cute, but so far I've failed miserably. I went to see "Troy" for him, but I couldn't take my eyes from Eric Bana. I watched "Seven Years in Tibet", but I couldn't take my eyes from David Thewlis.

At least he has good taste in co-stars. *shrugs*

But Brad Pitt's acting in Troy was superb! It was the best movie yet to play Pouty/Angry!

(Pouty/Angry is the wonderful game of finding a Brad Pitt movie and pausing it on his various expressions, and then deciding whether or not it is Pouty, or Angry. Troy is one of the best movies for this game.
Also, Brad loves to pout)
