Ah. Yet more hogwarts_elite sorting wank. It doesn't really get fun until the last couple of pages, though.

This time, meet [info]lucidus_charm, a young girl who gets accused of "pushing" for Gryffindor, and yet most seem to be sorting her there anyway because they think she's funny or fits in or something. A couple squib her. Then...votes get deleted. All squib votes.

Of course, later she states that she's going to be a Gryffindor anyway so deleting a few squibs wouldn't affect the votes, and blames LJ for deleting comments

Some highlights:
Slytherins r meen!!!1!
Peer Pressure OMG!
Bitches.

Edit: Comments have now been screened on the post in question, but I'm working on saving screenshots. And now they've been unscreened again. I'll leave the link for the caps just in case they go away again, but it's better in all their glory. What I managed to cap before the comments were screened. (Saved on a work computer using paint. That was hell.)

When JKR wrote the first HP book, I'll bet she never anticipated it generating not only a huge-ass fandom, but a wanky fandom. She should be proud...or something.

The applicant can actually delete her/his own votes? Wow, that's...ballsy, but wanky...to the MAAAAAAAAX!!

Though, it's amusing. Maybe this person wants us to think that LJ is intentionally deleting the Squib votes so this person can be a Gryffindor because it's FATE-UH (tm Theresa from Passions) or something.

I like watching people shoot themselves in the foot, which is basically what lucidus_charm is doing. It is just a sorting community even if they do say it is "elite". She obviously isn't going to be sorted now.

Because the way to get into a invite community is to insult people, that I am sure goes over well.

I think sorting communities are just inherently wanky. Because....well...look (http://www.livejournal.com/community/hogwartsishome/79339.html). More of a baby OTF wank, but it might count for here.

This whole comment made me giggle:

What you said in this comment (It wouldn't influence the outcome, I'd still be a Gryffindor whether I deleted a few squibs or not.) is offensive to this community, and to me in particular; not just as a member of hogwarts_elite, but as a Gryffindor. By deleting those votes, you made me even more adamant that you are NOT a Gryffindor. A true Gryffindor would have had the courage to let those votes go, and overcome them. Hiding behind the delete button is by no means something any true Gryffindor would do.

Won't someone please think of the Gryffindors?

Why do they have all those pictures and banners in their comments? Aren't icons good enough anymore? Is it because dial-up users are not elite? No dialing in and out of Hogwarts?
And why isn't there a sorting mad lib tool or something so that I don't have to write so much for an application?

Oh, and [info]lucidus_charm is just silly. I would claim that I deleted the squib votes under influence of the imperius curse.

OMG ICON. Emma Frost! Ahem. Yeah.

Anyway, daymn that's crazy. I think reality called, but lucidius_charm was too busy taking HP seriously that she didn't notice. It wasn't the hitler comment that set my dumbass radar pinging; hell, I thought that was just her being fascicious. It was the lovely trolling afterwards that convinced me.

And you have my sympathies with the screencaps. I thought you could at least save in .jpg with the color and everything, though, but that might just be for XP.
