QAF Fandom: All Wanky, All the Time!
In which we learn that the QAF fandom ships and has fetishes for venereal diseases.

Gentle readers, there is too much to bring all of it for your self-pleasuring amusement, so please content yourself with this, my humble offering of wank.

Warning, spoilers for QAF Season 5 featured heavily in this wank. If you're one of the few, the proud, the believers, who still cares what happens, and doesn't already know, stay away from the links.

Some QAF fans who live in Toronto, the Toronto Crew, decided to hold "Stalkerfest 2005". This means, "decided to follow the cast and crew around at all hours as they filmed season five." bigboobedcanuck, one of the Toronto crew, reported their findings in a comprehensive spoilerific post. The Toronto Crew, turns out, had accidentally called one major spoiler too soon, causing some fans to believe that things would unfold differently.

rhiandra, brings us spoiletiquette, the rules that you must follow if you want to share your spoilers. This means, "TELL ME EVERYTHING THE MOMENT YOU KNOW IT!!! YOU OWE IT TO ME!!!" The Minions Pounce, there and elsewhere. There's even a reminder that the Toronto Crew isn't the Associated Press (in case anyone was confused) and doesn't OWE THE FANDOM ANYTHING.

The spoilerumor is that Brian gets syphilis. bigboobedcanuck writes the following:

Brian gets it from a blowjob, takes his penicillin, and tells Justin to get tested. (Syphilis really isn't serious when it's detected early, it's not analogous at ALL with cancer, IMO.)

At least, that's what 1daftpunk wants you to think in his treatise about the SERIOUSNESS OF SYPHILIS OMG. His problem is that bigboobedcanuck "clearly doesn't know what the fuck she's talking about and she has a huge forum in which to state her ignorance." The reasoning? People are going to read BBC's journal, gather that syphilis isn't a big deal, and not practice safe sex, so she is betraying her RESPONSIBILITY TO THE MASSES BY NOT TEACHING THEM SAFE SEX WTF!!!!111 The fandom still doesn't know how this fits with 1daftpunk's hoping that Cowlip will show Brian and Justin barebacking in the season finale.

bigboobedcanuck counters with ALL CAPS, quotes from the Center for Disease Control, and types the memorable line, "I am completely anti-syphilis. Not a fan, never been a fan..." The syphilis sub-fandom of the QAF fandom emerges to stand up, stand out, stand proud. The chlamydia, herpes, and gonorrhea ships also respond. The comments to this post are almost all worth reading.
