What's a HP metawank without Cassie Claire refs?
I've been a Mouse for ages but finally got an account. Between this miniwank from earlier in the week, and the latest gem of parents whining about omfgteh_pr0n!11

This was being discussed in the earlier wank, but it is so priceless it deserves it's own wank.

For people looking for the post, it's the one that begins with her complaining that her 14-year old daughter decided to read the fic discussions on fanficrants, found a link to Minotaur's site, and then wrote some Harry/Draco slash that was too anatomically correct.

So I sat her down and asked her where she got the information. She pointed me to a Live Journal community called "Fanficrants." There were actual posts in the community about how to write "proper" gay sex. There is no age requirement on this community, nor any warnings.

I reported this to LiveJournal and nothing was done. I was rather upset because I bought my daugther a livejournal for her birthday and I thought they were a decent operation. Apparently not!

This needs no mockery.

That pisses me off unbelievably. So many angry thoughts spinning through my mind. How hard is it to figure out the idea behind gay sex? Why would you tell your child that love (in any form) is wrong? And WHY would you perpetuate the myth that sex is bad, thus giving your daughter a guilt trip that Catholics would be proud of?

... damn, I love having liberal parents. But I need to stop before I really get started, or I'll never be able to quiet down.

Lady, I started writing fanfic when I was 12. I discovered very hardcore Sailormoon lesbian hentai at the age of 13, and never wrote another het fanfic again. By 14, my favorite pairing was established as Haruka/Michiru and was reading pr0n all the god damn time, and at 15 I discovered yaoi through Gundam Wing and never looked back.

It's normal. Get over it. The only difference here is your kid got caught.
