Dear Mooterfick,

Hi, Common Sense writing. I'm sensing you need my bountiful wisdom, so here it is.

First of all, what kind of Right Wing Nutter are you to tell those that have the audacity to not adore Sin City to "burn in hell?" Good God, it's a movie, you imbecile! If such matters make you so angry that you want to condemn your opposition to fiery damnation, get your ass out of the theater and into a pyschologist's office.

I'm guessing Sin City was OMFG TEH BEST MOVIE EVAR because Elijah Wood was in it, huh? You're an EW Fangirl? That's cool, so am I. I'm just more in touch with reality, apparently.... and from the sounds of this letter, more arrogant, too, though it's beyond the current point.

However, know that it's okay to dislike a movie even if your celebrity crush is in it. Yeah, Elijah's in it, yes, he's attractive, I know this drill. But I promise you, he's not going to care or be offended if not everyone enjoys every last movie he was ever in. I don't know him personally, but I'll bet there are movies out there that he dislikes, too.

And if you aren't an EW fangirl, are you arguing that this movie is so wonderful because of its effects? So it's black and white with a few camera and color tricks. Hate to say this, but Sin City isn't some cinematic miracle child because of it. (Wizard of Oz, anyone?)

Somehow, methinks that you're all uppity about this because you can't betray your dear Elijah by not thinking this movie was some kind of cinematic masterpiece. Was it cool? Sure, at times. Too long, dragged out a bit much... Feel free to come and tear me up for my Elijah Blasphemy.

And you know what, just because someone doesn't like Sin City doesn't make them a film moron. Could I equally argue that someone who doesn't like Citizen Kane (1941) is a cinematic simpleton? It sure follows the logic you're using...

So go ahead and love Sin City until your little heart bursts, but realize that some of us have different likes/dislikes from you, and despite what you may think, it doesn't make us braindead drool machines. It also doesn't mean we're Hell fodder, either.

	Whereas I thought it was brilliant, because it was well acted, brilliantly cast, and the most faithful comic book adaptation I have ever seen. And because Alexis Bledel was in it squeesnerk The pope does not approve of this wank at all, due to its level of boring patheticness. I didn't dislike Sin City, but it's not a movie I'd go see over and over and condemn people to hell and burnination if they disagreed with me. ^_^

But you mentioned it was the most faithful adaptation you'd seen -- I thought I was the only one who'd actually read the comics! Whee! There's more Sin City geeks out there than just me. We should breed.

Plus, the "color" thing... sometimes fell flat on my colorblind ass.

	I'll bet there are movies out there that he dislikes, too Ones he's been in, even. I can't remember where I saw it now, but in some interview or other he made a comment about North that let on that he knew how bad that movie was.
