Doctor Who again.
Anyone writing DW slash which features the Doctor having sex is watching the wrong program. Go play with SG1 or something, cos you clearly havn't a clue what the hell DW is about.

Yes. It's the Doctor again

I won't employ expletives cos even that won't get across how angry I am at some of the trash I've seen in the last couple of days.

This is a fairly self-contained (and self-explanatory) wank, but it bred 59 comments ion half-an-hour. I had a suspicion this would happen when lj-literate fangirls started to tread in the world of old-school flame-keepers. It's like LOTR all over again.

(Also I made one comment, but I don't think it's enough for "i_wank".)

as much as i want to agree (and i do, believe me, it's not something i like), i find your attitude to be elitist, intolerant, and a perfect example of everything that is wrong with old "die-hard" fans who use their time in the service of whatever their fandom is to beat up nubbins, so i'm gonna side with the slashers and let them write about christopher ecclestone being buggered up the arse by the moxx of balhoon, because hey, i DON'T HAVE TO READ IT!

Was wondering how long it would take to get here. My friend and I have been laughing over this in IM because we're a couple of those apparent sickos (been watching DW since I was ten, but obviously I know nothing). This guy is just...amazing, to say to the least.

The original Doctor (William Hartnell) traveled with his granddaughter, Susan. She showed up again in The Five Doctors (in the Peter Davison years).

I swear, it's like deja vu all over again. DW was my first fandom back in the 80's.

I got curious, so I went out to Treacle's LJ. Turns out--according to him, of course--that's he's a co-organizer of the "Panopticon" convention. That explained everything to me. He is the quintessential British DW fan (that is to say, "anorak" or "fanboy") who believes that a) only Brits can truly appreciate the true depth and meaning of Doctor Who, b) that he is among the Blessed Few who, having arisen to the top of the heap, can Speak The Holy Words Of Fanboy Wisdom, and c) anyone who doesn't agree with "a" and "b" can bugger off.

On the other hand, they are fun to tweak though they tend to explode if provoked too often. If you want an even better idea of this type, look for the Sylvester McCoy DW episode "The Greatest Show in the Galaxy". The producers had a character in there called "Whiz Kid". DEAD RINGER.

I can't believe I'm actually of two minds about this wank. On the one hand, I think that people who aren't hardcore fans have no right to say anything about the fandom cuz they're just st00pid posers (and, yes, that includes me) (and yes, that makes me sarcasm hypocritical) (and yes, this is a byproduct of LotR fangirls and HP fangirls RUINING THE FANDOM even more than it was already ruined by teh sketchy when the movies came out) (and yes, I'm done with the parenthesis now, I swear). Okay, the best thing about this? People say slashers go to extreme lengths to justify their ships, but I've never seen a slasher try to justify that someone's granddaughter wasn't really their granddaughter yet!
