Your Morning HP Wank
Though most people are fairly polite in this post, the original poster is so wanky she'll need a wrist brace.

[info]swtalmnd posts a poll asking about fen interest in a new HP community

Some take offense at the EWW HET mentality and others
point out that's just like Pornish_Pixies

OP responds, "See that part at the top where I whine about slashet? Not to mention the high percentage of squicktastic pairings involving characters I never, ever want to imagine naked, ever, both in the last 6 months and in the fest requests. For that matter, I've been considering unfriending several personal ljs of people I like because of all the het -- I often find just the headers squicky enough to make me cringe.
A year ago, I didn't feel any need to make this post, but over the last year I've seen a huge decrease in the sort of fics I want to read on the available communities. And really, isn't this all about me having easier access to the fics I want to read? ;-)
"

OMG TEH HEADERS ARE ICKY!!!

All threesomes are Mary-Sues, did you know?

And [info]caseylane has her own stipulations:
"Secondly I would like to see them posted to Ink Stained Fingers afterwords. Maybe exclusive to this site for 30 days then posted there with mention of this community as it's place of origin. I have a huge fear of stories being lost when people lose interest in communities or fandoms. Archives are like a safety net."

So is the "Save to Hard Drive" method. But that's just too easy, convienent, and permanent, isn't it?

[info]florahart decides to call the OP on her shit:
"So what you're suggesting, then, is a comm that only allows pairings you like. You say no squicky or weird pairings here in the comments--define that. I mean, will you make a rule, NO Seamus/anyone because he's icky?"

Arguments about closed-communities commence.
