Pony Wank - Ebay and Cousins.
Remember, EZBoard is evil and full of spyware and/or popups.

The start is here when BabyGlory17 says, "Look, Rapunzel on Ebay!" Everyone else does what they do during any live auction, and shits a brick about there even being mention of it. It all sums up as "OMGWTF dun't post about unended auctions! Now we have to pay two hundred and twelve bucks instead of two hundred and eleven! You bitch!" It even carries over to another post, when Baby Glory complains about her cousin not selling extra ponies to her and people tell her to STFU, that no one has to sell her anything, and she doesn't deserve it because oh yeah, you blew Rapunzel for us!

Said auction? Right here and pulled up by typing "rapunzel" in a search.

And this is why I buy the cheap, shitty ponies that only put me back the cost of a translated manga instead of the price of my RENT.

Holy crap, I think I had that pony! Most likely chopped all her hair off and drew all over her, seeing as I was about four, but I think I remember all that hair...

I love pony wank. XD

I admit to thinking some MLPs are cute. That's not one of them.
Ebay auctions are not SECRETS.

Ponywank always makes me want to go yardsale-ing in search of old, beat up MLPs who get no love from the collectors.

Sweet merciful crap. A starting bid of $50? Should I just consider myself lucky that I have no desire to buy the G1s because the ones I played with as a kid are the only ones I give a damn about?

Or am I evil for depriving serious collectors of potentially rare ponies by hoarding them in a box in my parents' attic? (It says "[Zelda]'s Little Ponies", and it is understood that I'm the only one who's allowed to touch the box)

Maybe I'm a moron but I'm sort of foggy on what the argument is about. Is it that the few on the board who knew about the auction are mad because their little secret is out, or because the very idea of talking about auctions on pony boards is an unwritten no-no? I just don't really get it. And boo-hoo, so now everybody else can bid on the pony, I guess that means you'll have to pay up or lose out. I have to say I agree with the OP, if I even understand the thing correctly, if you want the thing, pay for it, if you aren't willing to pay that much, I guess you're out of luck. No reason why you should have exclusive rights to the bidding.

Oooh, pony wank is my FAVORITE. :D

our cousin doesn't owe you anything nor does the other collector that lives near you.

You are annoying the heck out of people with your threads about people not giving you dibs on ponies, so drop it. Suck it up and walk it off man.

You might want to think for a moment before you post. The new topic button is not a toy.

Sorry if I seem rude.

Heavens, why would anyone think that?

Gah... this makes me so glad that I just saved all my ponies from when I was a kid and avoided the psychosis of online pony fandom and trading.

Seriously, it's a piece of plastic. Sure, it's nice to collect things... but wow, these bid wars are as bad as 'ship wars. :-/

Some of us like to get things for a bargain, all you have done is let half the community know. And any small possibilty that she might have sold for under 400 has just shot out the window.

Honey, welcome to the world of free trade.

Heh. It's wanky, but I get that way too about auctions. Right now there are some rare first press anime CDs up on eBay and earlier today I was like "Should I tell the fandom at large about them? I THINK NOT!"

I want those cards for me, dammit.

Oh and I agree that the pony in question is hideous.

Things like this make me regret the day I was ten years old and bought twenty mint MLPs at a yard sale at a friend of mine's house. Her mom was mad at her for not cleaning her room or something and put all her ponies on the market as punishment. I bought every one of the damn things and sold them back to my friend--FOR NO MARK-UP. When I imagine their current street value...
