Attracting the best to the bug light...

Over on Mock the Stupid, TrollPrincess makes a post about a stupid review she received on a fanfic. Mockage ensues and all is beautiful in we're better than you land. Then along come the husband and wife team of oag and mrs. oaglizzielove with the tried and true fanfic is stealing and ficcers are lazy and pathetic. They also throw in the new twist that the only thing worse than a ficcer, is someone who reviews fic.

Small, but tasty.

Because it was funny. I like flame wars. I think insult can be an art form. Calling me an asshole isn't very clever because we know that already and it is extremely obvious. However, if someone finds a clever way of saying it and makes me laugh they get props.

Most people take all of this shit, and particularly themselves, waaaayyy too seriously. I've been flamed, taunted and mocked in every way imaginable for not liking fanfic and in the end who gives a fuck whether I like it or not? Apparently my opinion matters a great deal and needs to be addressed at great length since I'm such an important and famous talking head and I voiced my opinion on international tele to billions of people. This entire discussion is so mockworthy I don't even know where to begin. Look at all the wank. It's hilarious.

He's trying so hard to spin this whole wank into something positive that I kind of... well... feel a little bad for him. Personally, I don't think I'd like it if even people I didn't know thought I was pompous, overly-precious, pin-dicked ass of the worst order-- and furthermore, if I gave them seemingly endless fodder for HOLDING that opinion.

But gosh, he's so darn... peppy about the whole ordeal. Wish that, if nothing else, was an attitude more wankers would take. I've met waaay too many people who OMG LIVED IN DEADLY FEAR of ending up here...

This is a big ass grudge wank. Lizzie is mad at some friends of hers that she met when she was pagan and polyamourous--BEFORE she met OAG, supercool!Christian!rocker over the internet, forswore polyamoury, became gloriously monogamous, moved across the country to marry OAG, and decided she hated all slutty people. She got irritated with those friends of hers because even though they had given up polyamoury too, they still wrote porn, and didn't consider themselves prudes, even though one of them had given up casual sex, started wearing modest clothing and thinking about trying to keep kosher. She tried to rope that person into becoming a proud prude with her, but that person writes chan and Malfoycest and still likes bdsm, and thinks she is being very silly, because if she's so damn happy being monogamous and going to church with her husband, why can't she just, like, do that instead of putting other people down who still like the stuff that she used to like? So Lizzie is frustrated.

Meanwhile, cool!Christian!OAG is upset that his wife is friends with a person who writes long loud posts in her journal decrying "concerned parents" who want explicit fic taken down and defending her right to write chan and Malfoycest.
