Litttle Dark Crystal Wank
So a sequel has been announced for the very popular Dark Crystal movie.

Over on Muppet Central forums, lowercasegods objects to the tampering with perfection. Cos apparently, you can't critique the fuhrer Henson's puppets on a Muppetboard.

It continues on the following page as well.

Yes! I can't wait for Muppets in Oz. Only thing that would make it better would be some random cable channel running The Muppets in a marathon. Or just airing it at all. I'm going through withdrawal, and don't have the cash required for DVDs. ;_;

I loved that movie as a kid, and I still love it (have the special edition dvd of it, not to mention 2 VHS tapes of it). Along with Labyrinth (and I know I'm really dating myself, here), it's one of my favorite kid movies of all time.

Why, oh why, do they have to fuck with it and make a sequel?! *cries*

I always get slightly confused by people who weep, wail and gnash their teeth over sequels sucking before they've even gone into production. I can't be the only one that finds that sort of behaviour odd.

And as a side-note, if this film will combine puppetry, cgi and live action, I think there might be a part in it for Victoria Beckham. She wouldn't need special effects or make-up, she already looks like a gelfling.

A sequel froth. These are probably the same people who thought Farscape sucked and Avenue Q was a creation of evil.

Personally, I love Farscape and I think Jim would have given Avenue Q his blessing. Hell, he'd probably invest in it.

I would like to see Jim Henson Company do something with Air Pirates in a world with both humans and strange creatures.
