IMDB + Teh Gay = Inevitable Wank
Copied from [info]wank_report:

You guys remember that gay Star Trek character wank? Battlestar Galactica's got it, too.

Featuring:
- A "cure"?
- Pedophilia and necrophilia
- Interior decorating
- Isn't Lt. Gaeta, like, in love with Baltar, or something?
- C-3P0
- 90210 in space!

I find this amusing, considering the amount of Starbuck/Apollo slash you can find for the original series.

Starbuck... Apollo?? I would've thought Starbuck/Boomer, myself, if I thought anything along those lines.

Nahh, forget knives, batleth's have way more pointy bits... Hey you could use a hedgehog. Just walk into the forum and throw a big box of hedgehogs into the air... no wait that's cruel. OK walk into the room and throw cacti randomly into the air.

Are there poisonous cacti? Or cacti that turn you gay when you get stabbed by one? Assimilation, that would really solve the problem. The LGBT Borg, resistance is futile, you will be assimilated by use of these pot plants then given a bubble bath and a makeover.

Of course then we'd have those people on our side. My evil plan is foiled.

Aww, it's like a cute, fluffy, living hairbrush. Definitely not wasting hedgehogs on those idiots. Hedgehogs are so much better than them.

Know these boxes with needles for sewing?
Why not buy a hundred of these, open them, and catapult them right at that group? =)

That'd be fun. ^_^

These two would be Chikane and Himeko, from Kannaduki no Miko. Or Kannazuki no miko. That series is a weird one for sure. It claims to be about mecha and shonen stuff, yet eventually completely ignores the mecha in favor of...these two.

Consequently, it might not be liked by you. I haven't seen many guys who like it. It has fanservice, but most of you guys seem to be disappealed by the fact that, well...eh...Spoil >_< Can't say.

Meh. Still. Would be Kannaduki. And if you ever, for some reason, decide to watch it, then either stop at episode five(since the first two episodes are bad XD), or watch until the end. Don't stop at 8, it makes sense at the end. And if you watch it to the end, watch it until the credits rolled past.
Gee. Everyone uses that disclaimer these days XD

<- is so worshipping Chikane in that anime XD

So I think what I'm going to do is just walk nonchalantly into that forum, holding razor-sharp knives, with my arms swinging back and forth. And if any of those anti-PCers (i.e. bigots) gets hurt? It's their OWN FAULT.

A couple of the people in there are totally being sarcastic ("I suggest you use the more PC term 'gayness'"), and boy is it ever going ZING!

I once read a really really great thing that I can't remember the word for, on a website by a person whose name I can't remember, but it went like this:

"If homosexuality is an illness, can I call into work 'gay'?"

<3 <3 I love that.

However, I *do* think a lot of gay men are on TV nowadays for sheer shock value, and to belittle them without the dumber members of the GLBT community realizing it. I call this, "Hey Mom, I'm On TV!" Syndrome.

Livvie, you hang out with us and don't know that?! *g*

Oh, and Gaeta - totally gay. One day we'll find him having finished Tigh's entire stash of alcohol, whimpering about how Gaius will never love him. (I mean, surely there's a bad fan fic out there with that exact plot.)

(mmebahorel over on LJ, for the record.)

Well, whenever I keep hearing talk of Battlestar Galactica slash involving some character named Apollo, I presumed that was probably Jamie Bamber.

...Not that I associate insanely slashable characters with dear Mr. Bamber or anything.

(Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

[info]bakunina

Has he ever played a character that was not totally slashable? I mean, I've only seen Battlestar Galactica, three eps of Hornblower, and Daniel Deronda, but totally slashable in the latter two and I'm still trying to figure out who to slash him with in BSG. I'm glad of the sex change on Starbuck, though, because she is a kick ass character.

Hmm. I could almost see the idea of gayness being "cured" as a kind of bleak dystopian view of the future. Like, yeah, they've cured it, but that's not a good thing. And then you get maybe one or two anomalies, who are all... wtfeth, why do I want the hot gay sex? And it could be kinda cool. (Actually, I think I read a Voyager fic once to that effect, so don't think I'm brilliant on my own or anything.)

But I highly doubt that's what this fellow had in mind.
