The science fiction genre stole my script!
This is so amazingly funny I want to cry. The Stupid burns as it never has before.

Sophia Stewart, author of the failed 1981 movie script The Third Eye, claims that her script was stolen as it passed through the Fox studios slushpile and was plagiarised by The Matrix, The Terminator, and their sequels.

Among her charges:

  • The Matrix stole her idea of black superheroes. White men would never have black people in major roles!
  • "I'll be back" was her line first.
  • Christ allegories in sci-fi? Hers. All hers.

For more evidence of her total genius, see her webpage.

Of course, she's not alone in this struggle! "Secretly all of Hollywood is behind me," she says. "They want to bring the studios down. They know about these thefts."

She stole that whole idea of computers threatening our personal liberties from Comic Book Guy.

He is NOT going to be happy.

The Stupid, it burns!

And the incorrect second person familiar on her webpage, it burns!

Here is thy footstool and thee rest thy feet where live the poorest, and lowliest, and lost.

Thee is object, not subject. You can't use "thee" like this, any more than you can use "him." It would have to be "thou." *foams at mouth*

When I try to bow to thee, my obeisance cannot reach down to the depth where thy rest among the poorest, and lowliest, and the lost.

"Thy" is a possessive pronoun. What the fuck is it modifying? If it's "rest," then that part of the sentence has no verb. If it's not "rest," what the fuck is it modifying? *foams at mouth*

IT'S NOT AS EASY AS PUTTING IN "THOU" AND "THEE" WHEREVER YOU LIKE AND ADDING -EST ON TO VERBS.

...Okay, done now.

Stewart even goes so far as to say that the awards that were given to the special effects crew for "The Matrix" should actually be given to her.

Among the works that people are claiming were stolen from them are, "The Fast and the Furious," "Life," and "Drumline."

Why would anyone want to claim Drumline? >_>

"The Matrix" is a black science fiction, the first of its kind, that’s why it was so special.”

Buh? But there's...there's white people in it. The two main characters are...o_O

“What would they have to do with a black oracle and black super hero? They’re not activists,” she laughs.
OMG TOTALLY! And why did they cast Neo's opposite as a woman?! They're not feminists either.

“The saga continues,” she says.
Oh noes she plagerizeeeed George Lucas. ;;_;;

*waves to Sofia Stewart* Is it Sofia now? Or Sophia? Man, Matrix-Explained has been wanking about this for a YEAR now. Or longer. Ahhh, the batshit never ceases to amuse me...

I've seen some of that script, and can quote chapter and verse of the things she borrowed from Revelations (with a Bible in hand, at any rate).

I may need to post that over in i_wank...

We've got milly_fan, The Countess, Anne Rice, Usagi Kou, the girl that's married to Stitch, Stitch's cousin and a golden terrier and hates Angel and now Sophia Stewart! For a failed movie script. Which inspired so many movies. And clearly is not based on HUNDREDS of sci-fi shortstories that were around before she was even born.

...PLEASE. PEOPLE. It seems the antics of bad fanfic writers are spreading.

Someone needs to stop it. We SO need a super-hero mexican or Escimo to put an end to this!*

She scoffs at the idea that the Wachowskis, two white men, would have created those black characters.

We're only allowed to write about people of our own race? I do wonder what that means for actors like Lawrence Fishburne and Denzel Washington, then. Are they secretly white, or was ever part they've ever played stolen from oppress0red underground black writers?

Hah. For someone who claims that Hollywood ripped off her first, she has an interesting habit of ripping directly from others.

Compare: this page from Ted McKeever's "A Life Less Empty," which can be found on the comics page of the main website. Here is one of her "sketches" for The Third Eye. Look familiar? Uh huh. Her copyright is beginning to look rather pastede on, yay.
