What if you stopped writing and nobody cared?
Meet Sunsinger, aka Loonywoif.

She's best known for writing absolutely terrible Yu-Gi-Oh! fanfic. There's Yami to Hikari, which has Yami/Yugi (never mind that they share a body) and random Japanese words thrown in.

And then there's Lion's Pride, a fic written by roleplaying with Sunsinger and a partner. More crapfic with Japanese words for no reason and Japanese and American character names apparently being interchangable.

People apparently think she's a good writer, and she actually gets feedback for this shit. I can't tell the stories apart, except that one's unedited chatlogs and the other is actually edited. Some.

This is where it starts to get wanky.

First, there's a dramatic announcement to the list explaining why there won't be any more of Lion's Pride. (This comes after a similar announcement in her LJ saying that she will no longer be posting it there.)

No one really cares either way.

And then she starts arguing with her Yami to Hikari co-author.

The co-author finds out about her venting and tells her.

Still, no one cares.

The drama continues.

And it all leads up to this, in which Sunsinger vents. Again. And people actually ask her to stay in yaoi fandom.

It's all just so damn wanktastic, I had to share.

Edit: The wank goes on, as Sunsinger proves that she just can't let a situation go, and her former partner in crime co-author defends herself in the comments.

"What if we threw a wank, and nobody came?"

That should be the title of this wank, considering how so few people obviously give a damn about this writer hack and her co-hack, and their POS fic tripe.

::amused!:: It's kinda like watching a 50-cent, 45 year old crack junkie hooker stripping down on main street, and nobody wants to look at what she's got.

Bwah!!! That's such a brilliant metaphor.

Oh man, this is hilarious shit. Choice quotes include:

I told my co-author of said fic that I did not want to post there. I copied and pasted the email i was going to send to list to her, and i waited for a good 15 minutes for a reply.

Because everyone stays hooked to their computers, of course!

I also know enough not to hold my grievances to my (oh so extended) bosom like a sick puppy and breast feed it. Gods and Goddesses get over it.

Aside from the hilarious mental image of breast feeding puppies... umm, if you can so easily get over this shit, why do you keep going on about all this?

No... I birthed it, I conceived, and I should never have let you change it. I should have done the story myself. I wanted to share. Now I have a raving person telling me to give up the fic. It was OURS, as much mine as yours.

And today's case on Fic Divorce Court is...

I almost can't believe this chick is 25 (according to the user info), except I've already seen people older than her be just as wanky or even more so.

Also, Sunsinger: PLEASE STOP ABUSING THE PUNCTUATION MARKS. No wonder other people have massive run-on sentences in their stories and posts - like Wicca Gurl, you've got them embargoed!

Oh, yeah, that fifteen minutes bit got me. She may be twenty-five, but she hasn't been part of the real world. You know, the one in which you may have work to do that prevents you from reading your e-mail, or the one in which you're commuting an hour each way between work & home or out running around? One in which someone's e-mail program is only set up to check mail every 30 minutes or every hour? One in which a normal person may not be in your time zone and may sleep eight hours a night?

The one in which you've just presented someone with a possible ethical dilemma, and they need some time to think about what their stance on the issue is? Some people actually think about these things, rather than responding with knee-jerk, closed-minded immediate retreats to "morals." (Now, I agree with an author's right to (try) keep their smut from kids for moral or legal reasons. But her reaction doesn't indicate that she's thought about any of this ... more that it's a ha-ha-ha! type reason disguised under the term "morals.")

Someone who writes me better give me at least 48 hours to reply. If they don't, they are a fool ... and chances are I'm not going to respond to them if they are that foolish and demanding. I've received series of e-mails from someone (usually over about a 30 minute to two hour period) beginning with them demanding something, progressing to them yelling about being ignored, and then flaming me because I was clearly unconcerned with their "issue" and providing horrid customer service. Usually these series come in while I'm working and not accessing my personal e-mail, or when I'm asleep. The services I provide are voluntary, and someone that pulls that shit will be ignored.

As for silence implying consent: not over e-mail, idiot (really not in any forum, but we'll just stick to e-mail). You're talking about a medium that has become steadily more unreliable over the past two years directly due to spam (spam stressing out mail servers, and anti-spam attempts.) If someone doesn't respond to something I expect a response to, my first thought would be that the e-mail was delayed or deleted in transit. It wouldn't be that silence implies consent.

I think that's the alien from the E.T. wannabe movie Mac and Me.

That would be the titular alien from Mac and Me. A crap-tastic movie that manages to rip off not only E.T. but also throw in a musical number at McDonald's.

>>Instead someone on the list told the new author that thier fic sucked and they wished the new author would stop clogging thier boxes with crap. The new author felt awful and told then she'd stop writing. Then someone objected about flaming the author and THEN the list mom comes in to say, "no it wasn't a flame, and if you can't take it leave." Sorry but being told your fic is crap that clogs boxes is a flame.>>

0-o

I think this was me.

Not sure though I recall a kerfuffle on a YGO slash ML I'm on that fit this description perfectly.

I guess I forgot the first rule of fic commenting: If you're lips are not firmly attached to the authors ass it MUST be a flame.

Of course I could simply be self-centered because I'm not certain that this author is part of that ML.

Still should I be proud?

You're evil. You've just destroyed the poor dreams of an author. You will be burnt in hell for all that is worth.

You should be proud.
