This whole community is teh wank....
Wank on off-topic posting, of all things.

From what I gathered, the whole wank springs from a poster named Raffi posting stuff that isn't Auron/Rikku. Raffi gets her feelings hurt when everyone else calls her on it.(All Raffi's posts seem to have been deleted now.) Sable_fahndu then wanks about how meen everyone was to Raffi, and people wank back.

Be warned, most of this is in varying degrees of Fangirl-ese.

If you don't want to read the whole wank, there's some really bad photomanips for your trouble here. Just scroll down some. You'll know 'em when you see 'em.

The photomanips are eye-soring, but goodness forbid someone can't call upon someone who doesn't read the community rules.

Unless someone saved the original thread where people were shouting things to her like, "OMG I HOEP YUO DIE!!".

I hate leftover pairings like Aurikku. Why is this paring popular? I mean, the age difference alone squicks me.

And the photomanips make my eyes bleed. Uch.

I like some 'leftover pairings' but that's because I like the characters and think they work well together not because I think everyone has to be in a relationship.

However AuronxRikku WTF?

I prefer RikkuxPaine or RikkuxGippal.

It's not the pairing up of random characters I dislike, it's the need to pair up even the most implausible characters because "OMG, they need luv." I love crack!pairings, but don't tell me canon supports it.

Also, weirdly enough, a friend of mine who's not at all into the fandom thing or the shipping thing but loves the games actually shipped Auron/Rikku. Apparently she saw chemistry in the Thunder Plains scenes or something like it.

I think she's over it now but it was rather weird. I personally believe Aurikku (grrr, ship names!) can be written believably but pr0n naturally ain't gonna happen.

(This from the girl who wrote Auron/Lulu pr0n once... Hah, screw canon. ;D)
