Animorphs Wank
Quick, but sweet Animorphs wank.

It begins when an excited fan discovers our little corner of the web, and excitedly posts about their opinions on the death of a main character. An important thing to note is that said character died fouryears ago, when the series ended. Four years ago today, actually.

Teh fans are angry at the lack of cut. Very angry.

That would have been better than how it did end. But sadly, no. The craptastic ending stands. Applegate and one of her ghostwriters apparently were amazed that the readers would come up with something so depressing. Rachel died, everyone else went of and... I dunno. Adopted puppies from the SPCA or something.

Cassie stayed behind on Earth while everyone else (including Marco, for some reason, even though by then he had it MADE) rushed off on a mission from which there was no return to rescue Ax.

Except when they found the guy who had him, Jake ordered their ship rammed into his and then the series ended. Which does seem to imply they all died. -_- K.A. Applegate really, really should have phrased that last part a wee bit differently to avoid giving that impression.

Why do I remember all this?

Anyways. Since when is "Rachel DIES!" a spoiler? (And it's really been 4 years since the series ended? Good god, I feel OLD. I started reading around when the 8th book first came out...)

Sigh. It was four years ago. Really. And the "be nice to new fans" argument doesn't hold any water either. What, am I supposed to put spoiler space around Star Wars discussions in case some newbie doesn't know that Anikan becomes Darth Vader? If you hop into an established fandom, there are going to be spoilers. Deal.

Although my favorite argument? Plus people like me who refuse to read the final books. I own them and I know what happens, but I refuse to actually read them. Why? Because sometimes its more fun to go on in ignorant bliss. And we all know we must tailor our posts for every batshit contingency.

Hahaha, man, this is totally my favourite part of the reviews:

This is the last book in the Baby-sitters club series, and also one of the best. The baby-sitters are moving onto high school, after fifteen years in the seventh and eighth grades.

Man, I remember being, like, seven... and thinking they were so cool and grown up and stuff.

I think they all ended because I can't find books published after 2000 on Amazon (and unfortunately, Ann M. Martin's web site at Scholatic.com is out of date).
