	...am I the only person in fandom who relishes it when they kill off my favorite characters? Even as I whine and cry and say it's not fair that the ones I like always bite it and everything, there's a part of me that totally digs the tragedy. I've kinda grown to accept it, because if anyone in a book/movie/series is gonna die, it'll inevitably end up being my favourite character. I'm cursed like that. Sometimes I go into book-geek mourning; sometimes I do have to appreciate the gorgeous tragedy of it.

But as spectacular as her death was, I'm still never gonna forgive Frank Herbert - damnit, why did ALIA have to be your cautionary tale? *weeps*

Nope, I like it. But then again, I have a tendency to disagree with TPTB on how they handle said favorite characters, and thankfully, most of my fandoms' writers know how to do good death/exile scenes. Which gives me good material to spin off from when AU fanfic becomes my new best friend. :-)

Of course, I dread it when my favorite comic book characters are killed off. Because they always come back, and it's so rarely done well...

Honey, I don't know what show you were watching, but we did see her brains blown out in front of us. Unless, you know that bullet hole in the middle of her forehead was somehow nonlethal.

Jesus. I knew it was only a matter of time before something like this showed up. Yeah, it's fun to joke about torturing DPB --this isn't the first show of his that's been fucked up-- and Lord knows I've ranted about him before and wished him general ill for various reasons, but jeez, give the poor bastard a break on this one. Why wish brain-herpes on him over making an already morally ambiguous character evil when there are so many other reasons to wish it on him?

I'm not a Kate/Ari shipper (my tastes leaning more towards Kate/Abby and Kate/Abby/Ducky/Tony/Gibbs OT5 beyotch), so maybe I'm missing something here, but I thought it was pretty obvious from the getgo that Ari was at least mildly evil and sort of fucked up inna head. I see no reason why this should interfere with any ship one should put him in. If anything, I think it'd make things more interesting.

Yeah, I'm upset that Kate's dead, I'm wondering why Sasha and DPB aren't telling us the whole story, whatever it is, and I'm not really planning on watching next season, but, well... I got two good seasons out of the show, right? And, um, I can always write fic about that? And my Kate/Abby pairing could still be plausible because Abby's tastes probably run towards necrophilia anyway?

Fuck it. I shouldn't try to post shit just before bedtime.

	It sucks to lose part of your OTP but you can always find creative ways to keep it going in your own little way. Not just AU but you could write stories that took place before they died.
