Dear god, I hate that one. I get so excited to see SEVEN new emails pop up while I'm eating, thinking they're good fics from various mailing lists, or comment-replies, or possibly info from my uni, but no. They're all "Alternative Directions." And don't forget that the day before, there had been another three posted.

I can't even imagine how awful that story must be, the way each 'chapter' is posted so quickly. But thank goodness for gmail and its filters.

I just send them to my "crap I don't want" folder on Y!mail. As much as I like Gmail, I've been loyal to Yahoo for years and hey, it's got as much space as Gmail does, if not more.

The story, from what I can tell as I scroll down really quick, is godawful. Chockfull of OCs and characters from ER (ER for cryin out load!) and constant exposition. It's like what would happen if Cartoon Network mated with TNT. D:

fiction...including lesbian preggie trauma? Just no. Why do people always have to make the characters pregnant, for gods sake? I mean, yes, some probably want to be, but...the "plot twist" has been overdone for several years now. People do that with almost every f/f pairing. WHY? -.-

Okay, glad I wasn't reading my mailing lists the past few days. Why does every fandom go to hell in a handbasket when I start to think about actively participating?

And, for gawd's sake . . . what is WITH the fact that every frickin' mailing list has to be BOTH fiction and discussion? Why has the concept of fiction-only list vanished into the ether? I don't wanna this shit on my fiction list!

That is strange, but I'd also happily take D'Onofrio or Goren (preferably Goren) to bed, so I'm not exactly one to talk. I admit that D'Onofrio can be a bit of a pretentious asshat, and it took me a long while to get used to his style -- but somehow I've wound up liking him. Doesn't mean I can't see why other people don't, though, so to each his own. I can't, for example, stand Mariska Hagertay (is that spelt right? I don't care, actually) any longer, and she's the reason I quit watching SVU. Well, her and the goddamned Stabler-divorce storyline, which defines the term "shark jumping," I think.
