Anime convention and cosplay wank
OK, yes, I'm a mouse who's borrowed an account fromhouse_of_mouse, but this is the first time that one of my boards has exploded into wank and I thought it was odd enough to share with the world.
FanimeCon bills itself as "For fans, by fans," which can be a recipe for disaster. There were lots of problems at FanimeCon 2005. People started complaining. The staff decided to not listen to the complaints. The complainers got angry. And then there was ridiculousness.
The real craziness is in this thread, Incredibly upset with Fanime this year, as well as in ConOps = The Discriminating Tyrants of Fanime, FANIME RATING, and Der Cosplay Suggestions. There's also assorted wankage sprinkled in other threads, but those tend to be little snippets not worth bothering with.
