Gemini-Girl weighs in on Tom and Kate/Katie
Motivated, IMO, by the bitchslap delieverd by former supporter joan22 (now deleted) a couple of days ago, our old friend Carmen/GeminiGirl has invaded the Tom Cruise board at IMDb to find places to pimp her dislike of Kate Bosworth and theory of a Bosworth-Bloom PR-relationship in the thread

Re: Kate Bosworth was asked out before Katie
by - Gemini-Girl 3 days ago (Thu Jun 2 2005 17:45:32)
-------------------------------------------------------------------

Hello PLivin Personally, I doubt it. Depending on when he actually supposedly asked Bosworth's rep about it (I rather doubt he asked Bosworth herself, but that's just my personal opinion), Bosworth was already in a PR 'relationship' with another 'hot' male actor (believed by some to be gay or bisexual), namely Orlando Bloom. Too bad Bosworth's 'contract' with Bloom hadn't yet expired. Cruise would have given the girl (who seems to love the bright lights, footlights, and spot lights of Tinseltown and celebrity) a great amount of exposure. She would be a Scientologist instead of a semi-Buddhist, but that's a small price to pay for fame, celebrity and exposure, n'est-ce pas?
Gemini-Girl
P.S. Bosworth would require an extensive amount of coaching to increase her verbal and communication skills. Some actors do much better with scripts than they do when left to their own verbal skills. Cruise wants more than just attractive arm- candy. He chose Holmes for a reason. Whatever the nature of their relationship happens to be, it's their business. PR people generally want the public to accept celebrity relationships, so convincing the public that all of this is 100% genuine and legit will be Cruise's and Holme's business (along with their PR teams). Supposeldy, he also "auditioned" Jessica Alba and Lindsay Lohan, but I just heard that on the radio, so who knows? I don't believe everything I see, hear and read. Watching Bosworth's so-called 'relationship' with Orlando Bloom since February 2003, combined with working in the industry, I know better. No, I'm not suggesting that Bloom is gay (I don't believe he is), but I also don't believe his 'romance' with Bosworth was legit.
Bloom didn't try hard enough; Cruise is trying too hard. Go for a 'happy medium', guys. That's the best way to sell a 'relationship.' And if the relationship is real, don't play PR games with the public. It will only back-fire.

The thread is long, check it out for more wank

Does it have to be so... red?

Sorry. Html commands for font color were not created by interior designers, I'm afraid. I can't ask for chartreuse, burnt sienna, avocado or, in this case, maybe a nice burgundy or crimson.

And yet despite those obvious flaws they still managed to create a nice regular #000000 which is used automatically on JournalFen and most other sites out there.

Perhaps I didn't make myself clear enough here: there's no need for different font colours on FW. You can distinguish things just fine using regular bolding, italics and spacing. Different colouring just makes an entry look tacky and attention seeking and teenie. (omg teh kewliez colours!!) It's not really a personal thing, but 'First wank!' caught on pretty quick here and I'd rather not wake up to find a flist full of rainbows - no matter how fun that sounds or what FW's logo looks like.

Obviously our opinions differ on this, and perhaps the necessity of being offensive to make a point.

Well, the red text does kinda make my eyes cross both on my friends page and the comments page. If you must use color to distinguish your commentary from the quoted text maybe try brown or something? That or you could try putting the quoted text in italics and your comments in normal text or vice versa. Just... eh, the red isn't working all that well.

I appreciate the feedback. I'll be happy to edit this post and put brown. I just picked red because it was a short word to spell. I didn't use italics because for some reason I was having trouble with them.

... it's hard to type [ i ] *stuff* [ /i ] compared to all the formatting needed for red?

Okay the original statement didn't come out right. No, I meant that some of the posts I was wanking already had italics in them and sometimes I was losing track of her italics and my italics.... Never mind, it was just a state of fuddlement.

Well, if you knew anything about HTML you'd know that chartreuse is actually a proprietary web color name.

So is crimson.

And sienna.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Web_colors

But as Hnky said, there's really no need. Black's fine.

Well, I do know something about html since I write it at my current part-time job, but where I work we use the codes for colours, although strange unpredictable stuff sometimes happens with the results.

#1 - Use the hex instead of typing it out, and then you can use any color you damn well please.

#2 - If you don't KNOW the hex, google it to find some of those nice little color maps.

#3 - Nice twee little para indents.

Aren't you a cute little attention whore?

Thanks. I think.

This isn't/wasn't my first wank, BTW. I'd posted a couple here before these two without any negative comments and I've been a member of DL_A since 2003. There's a lot less free-floating PMS over there, I must say.

Whatever the nature of their relationship happens to be, it's their business.

I love when she contradicts herself in her own posts. The nature of the Cruise/Holmes affair is their business.....yet she obsessively follows the Bloom/Bosworth affair as if it were her business because they "lied" to her and the world.

Sidenote: *dances around happy to finally have a journalfen account*
