Because it's about more than the ships...
connielane posts commentary on fan behaviour she has supposedly observed recently.
We have "Harry and Draco not being a super evil-fighting duo = nonredeemed!Draco" (cos we all know there's only black-&-white in the HPverse), abuse of the term "irony", everyone's favourite ESL Molly-hata pointing out the obvious, "Criticism gives critics a bad name" and canon nit-picking and interview canon, among other things.
It then spreads out from here, to here in gryffindor_phan's journal, and yeah, it's still not about the ships</s>.
