[info]ontheqt posts to a Beatles community, highly angry and disgusted:

was i the only one who got literally sick to their stomach when they heard puaul and u2 perfrom sgt pepper?

The community members immediately begin snarking, and not just on "puaul," whoever that is. Musical elitism + boneheaded nonsense repitition = WANK.

Right... Born in 1981, she was. Over a decade too late to even see the Beatles ANY of their songs (much less their ZOMG!WORLDCHANGING ones) live.

Christ, you've got to be joking. I can't believe there's someone my age acti-oh wait, yes I can. Carry on, then. I need to make myself a "Out of my age, you're making my age look stupid" icon.

Maybe this is the fangirl talking, but I think after twenty five years and induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, U2 just miiiiiiight be good enough to come within a three mile radius of Paul. Maybe. /snark

Sorry, I'm just bitter because someone replied to the U2 fangirling in my LJ with "Poor Paul, U2 are such crap." I couldn't tell if she was daft or just rude.

My point, yo. Although, threatening to release recordings of my singing on the internet would make a good threat against the internet. But if you're trying to scare me, you're out of luck. :D

To this I say: Coldplay. Rockin' All Over The World.

If Sgt Pepper made her feel sick - God, she must've spewed like something out of The Exorcist after that!

Won't somebody PLEASE think of Status Quo? They think of your Dad. Dancing. With his thumbs in his beltloops.

maybe you're using "her" and "she" as gender nonspecific pronouns but as far as i can tell, ontheqt seems to be a guy. a very wanky guy.

It's my automatic default, so apols to both genders (female for being unfairly labelled and male for putting up with... well, 'him' for a start). I've run into that many of the 'TEHY RU1N3D EET! *sob*' nit collective wanking over Live8 this last few days - and nearly all of 'em were female it's all fuzzed the gender-tagging side of my braincell.

My problem was with the fake-o Sgt. Pepper's Beatles they brought out on stage. Just...I didn't like it. That's all I'll say.

(Not to mention, why not ask Ringo to do drums? Wait a sec, is my Ringo bias showing? I'll let myself out.)

rats, I missed Beatle wank.

also missed the whole U2/Paul thing thanks to MTV craptacular coverage and my RL schedule. I hear from my Macca-Observer friends, tho, that Paul looked extremely tense/nervous during Sgt. Pepper. I'm sure Bono took him totally out of his comfort zone.
